Raphaël Quenard in Yannick (2023)

Trivia

Yannick

Edit
For the first week of release in France, everyone named Yannick could fill an online form to prove that this is indeed their first name and then get a free ticket to this movie.
Filmed in six days in a single location in chronological order.
After the projection of Smoking Causes Coughing (2022) at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, Quentin Dupieux was by that time very bored with his movie as he knew it by heart, but thought that there was something special during the part with Blanche Gardin and Raphaël Quenard and wanted to write something for Quenard. He then quickly wrote the script, roped Blanche Gardin and Pio Marmaï into the project, and the whole thing was shot in secret over six days. This was secret so that the financial backers of his next movie, Daaaaaali! (2023), would not fret by realizing he was making another movie first. In keeping with that theme, the whole project was announced very late, in June 2023, mere weeks before its release.
This is the first time that a movie written by Quentin Dupieux has no absurd and fantastical elements in it: while unlikely, the events in the movie could technically happen in the real world.
Third collaboration between director Quentin Dupieux and actor Raphaël Quenard.
