Wheel of Fortune

So, this may be a controversial opinion but I think this version of WOF is the best for the following reasons. The Set is gorgeous, the host is good. It's plays for pound instead of points, how it has an actual studio audience, how the puzzles are clever and longer so players can win more money. But there are some things I don't like about this version and that is that the audience clapping every spin does get annoying so I would suggest to make them clap every first spin of the round, when a player gets something right and then when the player lands on the top amount in the round. The other thing is the £225 on the wheel really bugs me so I'd rather it be £350. And finally for the people who say it's to long remember Family Fortunes and Catchphrase used to be a 30 minute show and when they got a reboot it was 1 hour. So that's my review on a gameshow I hope goes on for a long time.

I'm the first to have a moan about shows from my childhood being dragged back, given life support and transformed into ghastly shadows of their former selves.

Fortunately they haven't tinkered Hour with the format, it looks very similar to the good old days, of course it's a little fancier around the edges, with a smart new studio, it all comes down to one thing.

Are you a fan of Graham Norton, and do you think his style translates well from talk show host to game show host, you can say at least he's not Alison Hammond, Bradley Walsh or Stephen Mulherne, the trio of default presenters, who appear everywhere.

Personally, I white like Norton, I think he does a decent job. I'm going to take a few points off for the lack of originality, why on Earth can they not come up with anything new and decent?

It beats the awful new Bullseye, put it that way.

I was looking forward to this reboot of the classic game show but it fall really flat. Graham Norton doesn't connect with the contestants so lacks the banter that he excels at with his chat show . This version which takes advantage of using a higher tech game board/screen so now does away with the need of a co-host which actually make the show less watchable. In a show like this you need someone for the host to bonce off to fill the running time. Now we have 3 quick play questions before each round of wheel spinning. It could be just the first show but the contestants did have much enthusiasm for the game and didn't put much effort in to each spin. If this show is to continue then it needs to address these issues and make it fun again.
