    Deep Inside

I was looking forward to watching it and it was way more captivating than I expected. It caught my attention in many ways. First of all, its beginning was totally unexpected, developing from a theme that is deeply especial to me. As it developed, many of the situations that Pedro sees himself in and drives himself into were familiar to me and perhaps likely to be to anyone who's been brought up in a religious background. Finally, as we foresee the end of it, it feels just like life itself and its end, i.e., something difficult to grasp as well as something so easy to let go... Great feelings, indeed. Thanks, BP.

    Spiritual reality and the truth

The film invites us to a deep reflection on the reality we live in, the place we occupy in the world, and how this space is intrinsically connected to metaphysical and spiritual dimensions. It reminds us that human existence is not limited to what is visible and tangible. There is a greater connection, a purpose that transcends the material and calls us to seek what is eternal. This journey of understanding requires sincerity and genuineness, essential qualities to recognize spiritual truths that shape our view of the world and ourselves.

Jesus Christ, in His wisdom, left us an invitation that echoes through the ages: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). This promise transcends religious, cultural, or social barriers. He calls us to surrender our hearts, not as an imposition but as an invitation to freedom and true peace. Regardless of the religion you practice or the context in which you live, surrendering to Christ is a transformative path that yields eternal rewards.

The Gospel of John, with its profound words, brings forth a declaration that underpins the Christian faith: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). This statement is not merely a powerful phrase but a divine revelation about Christ's exclusivity as the mediator between God and humanity. It is not just a path to follow but the only path that leads to the Father. He is the truth that enlightens our understanding and the life that gives us purpose and fullness.

When we surrender our hearts to Jesus, we take the first step toward a comprehensive transformation. He Himself declared: "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). This promise challenges us to trust God entirely, knowing He cares for every detail of our lives. Daily concerns, like what we will eat or wear, become secondary when we trust in a God who knows our needs even before we ask.

Moreover, this surrender allows us to understand that the spiritual world is real and that we live in a constant battle, as described in Ephesians 6:12: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Recognizing this reality helps us keep our eyes fixed on Christ, our strength and shield, and to seek the protection and guidance only He can provide.

Surrendering to Jesus Christ is more than a religious act; it is a personal and transformative experience that changes our perspective on life and what truly matters. Paul, in Romans 12:2, exhorts us: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-His good, pleasing, and perfect will." This renewal occurs when we yield to the Lord and allow Him to guide every aspect of our lives.

Therefore, the film points us to this truth: reality is not only physical but also spiritual. And in this journey, we are called to a crucial decision. Accepting Jesus' invitation is embarking on a path of faith, trust, and transformation, where all other things-peace, purpose, direction, and provision-will be added to us.

Ultimately, this surrender is not a burden but a liberation-a choice to live the fullness God offers through His Son. As it is written in John 10:10, Jesus came so that we may have life and have it abundantly. May this message resonate in our hearts and lead us to reflect on where we are, where we are going, and with whom we want to walk.

In Brazilian territory, it is one of the best works made in the last 20 years.

I just didn't rate it 10/10 due to some weak performances, but that doesn't detract from the film, considering it was produced by an independent producer with budget limitations. Speaking of performances, I positively highlight the most famous actress in the cast, Elisângela, who plays Maria, the protagonist's mother. Her work was linear, as expected from a competent and experienced actress. However, the real highlight goes to Roberto Mallet's performance. He is an acting teacher (research his work, he follows the school of Master Constantin Stanislavski), and in this film, he clearly proved that he deeply understands what he teaches. I would say that a significant part of this film's probable success can be credited to him.

The film was very well written by Elton Mesquita. The verisimilitude of Catholicism, in relation to spiritual combat, was excellent, despite the fact that all art has a sort of poetic license that allows adaptations to make the film more believable, especially for those who enjoy the "God of Chance." I missed more locations that would show this "deep Brazil"-that Catholic Brazil of the past century, for example, with its baroque architecture. However, I understand that this absence is also due to the financial issue I mentioned initially.

It is a competent film! I hope to see Brazilian films reaching an increasingly higher level.

"Oficina do Diabo" marks the first foray into fiction by Brasil Paralelo, a studio renowned for its high-quality documentaries. This stunning film is a masterpiece that showcases the beauty of southern Brazil through breathtaking cinematography, a grandiose soundtrack, and a spectacular screenplay.

The narrative is as profound as it is gripping, offering a thought-provoking exploration of the human soul and its struggles.

Roberto Mallet delivers an absolutely fantastic performance, bringing incredible depth and authenticity to his character. His portrayal is a standout in a film filled with stellar moments.

The best in the word 👏🏾

Brasil paralelo always surprises us with its journalistic and investigative profile and now its film is an independent production, which makes us even more proud.

Brought clarity to what the spiritual world refers to, and how the enemy of souls acts.

May it serve as guidance for those who do not believe in the struggle between good and evil, and that they position themselves knowing that there is an enemy wanting to take their souls to eternal suffering.

Excellent production, and may more films come, may it be the first of many, since for an initial work he has given us a gift of someone with a lot of experience, we are waiting 👏🏾🎉
