Windy City Rehab: Alison's Dream Home

I admit that I am a Reno/Armchair designer and I watch everything TV has to offer in the genre. Many are turned off by Alison's personality and up until recently I felt the same way avoiding her show.

The turning point was when I saw her as one of the mentors on "Battle on the Beach." I then binged on every season of "Windy City Rehab" and now I'm hooked! When Dream House dropped into my feed I got so excited.

Alison Victoria is an extremely hard worker and her remarkable designs are unlike anything I've seen. Her new dream home is totally unique. It's a glorious mix of antiquity and glamor that will leave you in awe of the 5'3" genius responsible for its existence. With this accomplishment I don't see how she can top it...but, I'll bet she will and I can't wait. Bravo, Alison!

Show on 10/29/24, clients say from the beginning, "we will move back to the basement in 8 weeks." So probably the basement would be the first thing to make ready for the clients. After 8 weeks nothing was communicated to the contractors and the basement looked like a disaster and a storage zone for building products. While Allison is shopping for lighting, "quoting how much the clients love her lighting designs." This show, shows off Allison's expensive taste in clothing and her expensive contractors, and taking an old piece and asking her experts to redo the pieces. Although, it is a great idea to know someone who can do very expensive (500K and up) renovations. Us People who can only dream about these high-end renovations.... This is the show for us.

I watched 30 minutes of this 'new' show before turning it off.

As expected, the ever narcissistic Alison whined about not having the money to get a new place so she's converting one of her current offices & storage areas, a 6000 square foot industrial space, into her live/work space complete with indoor pool and a personal gym.

So she doesn't have any money. Wahh. Let's jet off to to France to buy new things for this grandiose monstrosity that will supposedly cost 1.5 million USD to convert into her latest, greatest personal dream house and sell one of her other dream houses to partially finance.

Now let's jet off to St. Francisville, LA & elsewhere to find more expensive antiques to deface and ruin for this folly that she still supposedly can't afford and will say say every five minutes from here throughout.
