I went to watch Ms. Information with no preconceived notions, and ended up completely immersed in this documentary.

Ms. Information seamlessly blends personal narrative with the broader context of the pandemic, and offers a rare glimpse into the world of women scientists and the human stories that often go untold. Siouxsie's journey becomes a microcosm of the larger challenges faced by women - this is not only an intimate portrait but also a compelling call to action for gender equality both in science, and in society as a whole.

The filmmakers skillfully used a mix of candid interviews and behind-the-scenes footage to bring us into Siouxsie's world beautifully capturing the strength and solidarity of her family. The storytelling is a powerful, weaving together threads of Siouxsie's passion, her struggles and triumphs, with broader issues of misogyny, conspiracies, and online abuse.

I was surprised at how much this film affected me on a profound emotional level. I found the footage of the pandemic's impact confronting, but as the film unfolded it helped me make sense of my own experiences at this time.
