I found this episode to be quite character driven and dramatic. While that's certainly a bit of a change of pace, it wasn't really that bad. I get the feeling that they're setting up for a very high emotion finale and while this episode was mostly procedural in setting up for the season finale, it was pretty effective as such.
8/10 eagerly awaiting next weeks finale but still bitter that seasons are only 8 eps long.
I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING.
NOT GONNA SPOIL ANYTHING BUT MY GOD WE SAW THE SCARIEST SIDE OF HOMELANDER.
THE BOYS AT ITS PEAK.
WHAT A BUILD, FELT LIKE A SEASON FINALE.
You will be on the edge of your seats, your jaws are gonna drop, the dialogues, screenplay, story telling, you will not be able to predict what's coming.
If anyone disagrees with me they're probably crybabies who don't know the show that well.
Every second of homelander was top notch and just frightening at the same time.
This was the episode THIS IS IT, THIS IS WHERE YOU SEE CINEMA IN A TV SHOW. END.
MM rocks even with panic attack.
Frenchie and Kimiko bond again.
Butcher is the best character of this show. Probably the best actor too.
Homelander is still most frightening character on television. Hands down for his acting too.
Vicky didn't pop heads today.
Hughie is kind of sweet but most importantly finally we saw Starlight naked.
I liked the twist at the end, I predicted that during this episode. I saw that coming.
I still miss Queen Maeve.
Firecracker and Sage are somehow sexy.
-Overall very nice episode, tension is build up for season's finale.
My predictions for eight episode are that A-Train will be killed off by Homelander himself, I see something like speeding battle in slow-motion. If anyone could match A-Train speed, that is Homelander. It will be something brilliant.
A-Train is very likable character lately, and the actor is awesome.
Bonus, I thing that Ashley will stay alive for next season, also Butcher will find a way to tag along.
The dialogues and most characters, including but not limited to Frenchie, Starlight, and Kimiko are especially annoying this season, and honestly the only thing that keeps me going are Butcher and Homelander.
It's almost like they decided to take all the disgusting/cringe scenes to the next level, which is fine, but completely forget about what made the boys unique, which is the feeling of being unsafe in a world full of supes...
For some reason it feels like none of the creators of the show take anything seriously anymore, and it's all just a joke to them.
I wish they focused more on what the audience cares about, not what they care about.

- TriviaSince the fish tank was CGI, Chace Crawford had to rehearse the tank scene about 25 times before they were confident enough to get the shot. The shot used was the first take.
- GoofsAmbrosius has been shown multiple times out of water (on the Deep's bed, on his shoulder, during intercourse, etc.), yet when the Deep breaks her cage, suddenly she can't breathe.

A-Train: [to Mother's Milk] You know, when I carried your ass to the ER, there was a kid there. His eyes were like... "Holy shit." Looking at me... like I was a hero. There were no screaming fans, no cameras. Nobody even knew. Except for this one kid. That felt better than anything that I'd ever done at Vought. Because for once... I didn't hate myself.
