I really enjoyed this series. I thought the actress playing Romina was cast so perfectly. She was true to her name, pure adrenaline. Energy and eyes that could hypnotize anyone! Like you see in so many telenovelas, some of the cast was a bit over the top but I really enjoyed the portrayals of Ruben, Santiago and Nayibe as well. Having lived many years in some of the worst parts of centro america I thought that much of the series realistically depicted everyday life in the barrios mas pobre de Managua o San Jose. The Story ended when it should have, although it really seemed that they could have changed the ending very easily and made a third season. A little predictable in the ending and I wish they went a different route as to have a third season. Potentially really great story lines that you can imagine as you watch the last several episodes. Not going to post any potential spoilers for anyone that may watch the whole series.

Great series, great acting, but IMDB should credit all actors/actresses in CAST. Particularly, "Nayibe", who plays important role throughout series, is not mentioned in CAST. Her name is Alis(s)on (Joan) Castrillon, who also played singer "Margarita" in "Unbroken Voice". I agree with other critics who would have preferred a continuation of the series with more episodes. Zharick Leon does a great job of portraying the DON in her ruthlessness and obsessions, reminiscent of her perfectly played role as Rosario Montes in "Pasion de Gavilanes", both Series 1 (2002) and, (with Camila Rohas as her daughter "Muriel"), in Series 2 (2022). Juanita Molina, David Palacio and Camila Rohas played their roles in exemplary fashion, & hope to see more of them in future Netflix Series.

I loved this TV series. The actors were so good that one would feel is inside La Mirla with the rest of the characters.
I love that this show is always showing the great spirit of people in the more humble barrios of Colombia. Even with Leo who was the bad guy, it showed that there are people with feelings inside hostile enviornments of mafia.
I would say that if you are not used to telenovelas or don't know the dynamics of Latin culture, some scenes may look too dramatic or not realistic. But this is how latinos are, passionate, natural, good people who help each other. I really recommend it, it is not the average telenovela.

I've watched a few really good telenovelas...this isn't one of them. Premise is interesting, but the character range from unlikable to dumb as rocks. Poor, lazy writing. Bad pacing... Acting is subpar, and for a plot this shallow, there are far too many episodes. Did I mention that Romina is COMPLETELY insufferable.
I haven't disliked a main character like this in a long time, which is sad because I love a strong female lead. Just not one as dumb, selfish, and ridiculous as Romina. Ugh! The other characters are not that memorable, and I don't care about them, so there's that...
I'll see if I can make it a few more episodes, but I'm pretty much checked out. I don't see myself finishing this series, and I can't recommend it.

I enjoyed the series so much that I'm seeking out anything else by these producers! Juanita is just captivating and what talent and endurance to keep up the many facets of her character(s) without losing her creativeness from one phase to the next phase for one minute! But not just the lead - what is so impressive is that even the B and C characters are excellent performers. Kudos to the casting directors and the whole team for allowing the entire cast showcase their skill and contribute their own unique style to overall story. The villain mom gets my vote for best acting - not just here but on anything I've seen in the recent past! Two thumbs up for cast and team!!
