    Watchable, but generic...

Well, the good thing here is that you know what you are getting yourself into when you sit down to watch the 2023 animated movie "Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too".

However, I have to say that I found the storyline, as written by T. K. O'Brian, a bit too mundane and generic. Sure, it was watchable, given the fact that it was a combination of classic Scooby-Doo mixed in with some DC Justice League. But it ultimately was just soup boiled on watered-down broth.

The art style and animation in "Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too" is good, and that classic "Scooby-Doo!" drawing style just works every time, and it certainly helps to make it all the more watchable.

With "Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too" being an animated movie, then having a proper voice acting ensemble is important. And you know with the likes of Frank Welker, Grey Griffin, Matthew Lillard and Kate Micucci as the Mystery Gang, then you're in capable hands.

I found "Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too" to be enjoyable and watchable for what it turned out to be, though director Cecilia Aranovich didn't bring anything new to the franchise.

My rating of "Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too" lands on a bland five out of ten stars.

funny and classic scooby doo :D

This is such a good breath of fresh air after the Velma Disaster, and while this could be considered just another Scooby Doo movie, that's why it's so great in the first place; it really shows the group's cohesiveness and demonstrates why the Scooby Doo formula has persisted for so long.

That's not to say that innovation and change is bad for this franchise; it's just the way it's applied and the characters handled that can really ruin a Scooby Doo film. And this one? Does the opposite of ruin the character interactions. There were genuinely many moments i actually laughed out loud and I can honestly believe the Scooby Gang willingly hang out with each other and are friends, not to mention all Metropolis elements meshed together well/the scooby gang didn't feel out of place in my opinion.

And sure, the mystery was easy to put together, but I had fun watching this film, and isn't that what matters the most in the end. These characters are cherished and a classic, it great to see them being treated well.

TLDR; good scooby doo movie. Not a 10/10 but certainly very earnest 7.5-8/10.

A solid Scooby-Doo Movie, Very fun and Entertaining!

I am a massive fan of the franchise, and this movie didn't disappoint. I haven't seen the Velma siries, just didn't seem all that interested in if. And the trailer was poor. Good to know that some of the other reviewers said it wasn't very good, so kudos to them.

The film starts off with a projector figure, bright orange and looking like fire is chasing Louis and Jimmy, who own the place. They then escape and fearing for their lives and other people's. I think the dynamic works. The Chemistry is also very good between the cast members here. And it definitely feels like they've known each other for a long time.

I honestly found Velma searching up the place, and then looking out the window of the place to it being absolutely destroyed. That was a funny moment. And honestly the characters dynamics worked superbly well in this movie. And the absolute chaos that ensued was also really fun. We had an action-packed start with Metropolis being completely destroyed. And the gang have to figure out what has happened to our Heroes. And the gags genuinely had me laughing hard at times. This movie is great with it's jokes, and the Superman jokes were also very funny and definitely landed after taking off.

The animation is always great in Scooby-Doo movies, always stands the test of time, and always ahead of it's time. And it's no different here, Lex Luthor looks like the real one from the comics and the Movies and the TV Shows, and Louis Lane also looks really good in this. The films use of colour and effects are always a delight. And they always make it seem kids friendly. Also the soundtrack is also great here too.

But, the movie is tonely off. Like some parts happen far too quickly. And the first 10 minutes didn't really have any space to breath. The scenes were fast-paced and that didn't work for me. I feel like the movie could of been more stretched out, as the plot and the storyline was great and it did lead to some great throwbacks but in reality it would of worked better if it was longer.

Although with that being said, I love the grand scale of this movie. And the new Character in this world, Krypto who was a great dog. And he looked like a companion of Superman. And the action set-pieces are really fun. And epic in scale. The final act is really brutal, and is back and forth between good and evil. Definitely back to form Movie for the Scooby-Doo and Co.

    Would I recommend this movie?

Yes Indeed, I thought it was fun and exciting. And had great chemistry between the cast members. 6.5/10.

A good return to form after the Velma (2023) series

This was a fun and enjoyable movie. It was exactly what they advertised it to be in its trailer as this was a another Scooby doo crossover with some characters from the DC Comics. There were also some really cool easter eggs from the comics and WB's other DC Animated shows in this movie, so even as a DC fan you will love the throwbacks.

The Character designs of Krypto, Jimmy Olsen, Lois lane and Lex Luthor were all good in the Scooby doo artstyle. The jokes involving Lois and Luthor were funny.

Now Scooby doo movies or shows are generally targeted towards kids/tweens, so they will love this.

    Seriously amusing and lovely crossover

Lovely animated film, very amusing crossover which worked quite well. Off course, for this actually work, it had to present more the Scooby-Doo style than the DC Comics one. However, there was throughout the film a homage to several moments and characters in DC universe (including Superfriends), Krypto was a key partner for saving the day, and the final battle , which combined both Justice League and Scooby-Doo styles, was nice. There are several funny gags, and hilarious moments with the Mistery Machine crew together with Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, or Clark Kent. I seriously missed Batman (nonsense absence!), but Daphne is as good redhead Batgirl as Barbara Gordon. The "Transformers Super Sentai" were a nice addition. The hot dog seller and the valet parker provided a good contribution as additional characters. Extremely amusing and satisfying experience for a fan of both Scooby-Doo and Justice League.

The film was leaked online by an anonymous source on March 4, 2023. This led to widespread speculation that Warner Bros. Discovery canceled the project for tax write-offs as they were known to do around this time, although the announcement of an official release puts the theory in question. Even then, the motivation behind the leak remains unknown.
