A mysterious group called The Wise is after a mysterious artifact that is a gold bar. Private Eye husband and wife tandem, Mike and Stacey Justice get a call from Collen MczDaniel because
Colleen McDaniel has been murdered and apparently she had one of the elusive gold bars in her possession. Upon finding this out, Stacey swiped it from her. Meanwhile, Johnny Banks visits Chief Quimby to see what he knows.
En route to deliver the gold bar to Chief Quimby, Mike Justice is captured by Officer Belzer and his gang of ex-cops who are also in search of the gold bar.
