This episode is just an insane adventure 10 minute short film. The animation here is the best in the entire series, from the opening shot, the helicopter vs military scene, the stop-motion pirates and the sea monster that looks like a high quality anime. This episode is really fun and really funny, the best character here is Mr. Landlord. I hope he comes back (and it looks like there will be more solo Allan adventures) I've rewatched it the most out of any episode this season. Its random, its funny, has great animation (50% of this seasons budget went into this episode) the villain is memorable and its rewatchable. Best episode of Season 2.
The second season of the show started out great with the episode of Gwinbly but the last 2 episodes, basically this and the president episode have been weak, still good episode but a little bellow the quality I've come to expect from this show, this episode doesn't have a lot of great dialogue of the show, it has a little of it, but not a lot, this episode is good but not really amazing or groundbreaking, I think this is one of the worst or the worst episode so far, wich is both flattering and bad for the show, flattering because the worst the show can get is still good but bad because maybe is a sign of things to come.
This animation is brilliant. I've not seen any of the others yet. It has perfect voice casting, matching the outstanding and contrasting character designs. It has excelent motion in general, and eye animation. The narrative pace stands out.
Though the overwhelming impressive factor is the open imagination the story sequence has been created with.
The story is literally off the scale and mad, super-funny and unpredictable on the first watch. Second and third watch, still funny.
I do sound and would love to work with this crew.
I'm not sure if I've explained here how truely exceptional this work is.
I'll be purchasing the rest of them to enjoy, and support these geniuses. They should have the same legendary status as the Beavis and Butt-Head, and Rren and Stimpy crews.

This was utterly nonsensical and without a real purpose, as these episodes should be. Mr. President attempted to veer off, and I get the impression that even the creators felt the need to go back to the basics.
This was worth watching. Much better. I'm glad we're getting back on track.
Good cuts, the narrative is tiny enough to be useful, but not overblown like the last episode, and I thoroughly enjoyed how mindless this entire affair was.
The content in general was so-so, but some of the gags were so instantaneous and jarring that the true hilarity of the show was able to show itself again.
I am nervous about all of these guest directors. I don't care for them.

This show has no misses and this episode is a perfect example of that, and episode completely focusing on a side character is so unbelievably funny my jaw hurts from laughing. The ending especially, Smiling Friends has a history for making an ending that is insanely funny and this one does not disappoint. I also want to talk about something i don't hear many people talk about with this show, the voice acting. Allan this entire episode is so non-emotional and his voice is just hysterical. He's genuinely my favorite character and the performance is outstanding. Do yourself a favor and watch this episode, you don't even have had to seen the rest of the show to enjoy this episode.
