Not Emotionally Impactful if You're Not Rooting for the Main Characters

"Fake it Until You Make It" has some decent ideas, especially regarding the business stress and pressures of modern office work. Unfortunately, it falls short where it matters most: the romance. The chemistry between the main leads often feels forced and lacks genuine connection. The story frequently goes off track, and the execution and direction seem unconventional and disjointed.

The editing also contributes to the disjointed feel, with abrupt transitions between scenes that disrupt the narrative flow. The cinematography is unremarkable, and the theme songs and music selections sometimes feel out of place and detract from the overall experience.

All these factors made it difficult for me to root for the main couple, leaving me uninterested in their story. My recommendation is to watch the first few episodes. If you don't find yourself invested in the main couple by then, it's unlikely you will enjoy the rest of the series.

    Best Chinese Drama in 2023

Best Chinese Drama in 2023 And all time best drama in my list !!!

Unexpectedly Excellent well-written scripts & solid sharp dialogues ,, all leading actors' acting are so naturally portrayed and perfect.

Especially main lead actor and actress are full of chemistry and best CP.

This is a drama without cheesy cliche plots.

All plots are so realistic and relatable with our real working environment.

Memorable dialogues are as below: "..Love is not a noun, it is a verb..." "So walk your own path.

Not according to the written script.

Throw away the script and struggle to find your own life.

It is okay to fail. It is okay to take the wrong road.

Live freely. Isn't that the most stylish thing?"

There are many good dialogues and plots about relationships and our working life.

Everyone is scared of loneliness and desires love from another equally lonely soul. But in this vast world, we have to be really lucky to find true love.

It's a rollercoaster of emotions with electrifying chemistry between the main leads, showcasing an exemplary portrayal of green flag relationships.

It goes beyond the conventional boundaries of romance; it's a heartwarming journey of two people who accept each other's flaws, understanding that their bond is too precious to lose. With an exceptional script filled with deep and mature conversations, natural acting, and a feminist and independent female lead, this drama is nothing short of liberating, and it leaves a resounding message: there must be more dramas like this.

The magnetic chemistry between the main leads is the very essence that makes this drama irresistible. From the very first moment they appear together on screen, you can feel the sparks flying between them. It's not just a fleeting attraction; it's a connection that deepens with each passing episode. Their interactions are filled with tension, passion, and tenderness, making every scene they share an absolute delight to watch. It's the kind of chemistry that draws you into their world, making you root for their love story.

But what sets this drama apart from the rest is its profound exploration of green flag relationships. In a world where toxic relationships are often glamorized on screen, Fake It Till You Make It refreshingly portrays a partnership built on mutual respect, trust, and genuine affection. The main characters accept each other wholeheartedly, quirks and all. They understand that their bond is too precious to let go of, and this realization is the driving force behind their continuous efforts to nurture and improve their relationship. It's a valuable lesson for viewers that love should never be about changing someone but rather growing together as a team.

The script of this drama is a true masterpiece. It doesn't merely scratch the surface of love and relationships; it delves into profound, mature conversations that resonate with anyone who has ever been in love. The dialogues are not just romantic; they're thought-provoking, touching on life's complexities, dreams, and personal growth. These conversations add depth and authenticity to the storyline, making it not only engaging but also relatable on a deep emotional level.

The acting in Fake It Till You Make It is another shining aspect. The entire cast delivers their performances with such naturalness that it's easy to forget you're watching a scripted drama. They breathe life into their characters, portraying their emotions and experiences with authenticity. This level of realism makes it effortless for viewers to connect with the characters' journeys, drawing them even deeper into the narrative.

One of the most commendable elements of this drama is the feminist and independent strength of the female lead. Her character is a beacon of empowerment and self-reliance. She's not defined by her romantic relationship but by her own dreams and aspirations. Her determination to pursue her goals serves as an inspiring example, breaking away from the traditional mold of female characters often seen in dramas. It's truly liberating to witness a female lead who is not only strong but also unapologetically herself.

In a landscape dominated by formulaic narratives and shallow portrayals of romance, Fake It Till You Make It shines as a beacon of hope. It's a reminder that we need more dramas like this - ones that celebrate healthy relationships, strong characters, and meaningful dialogue. This drama is a breath of fresh air, an oasis in a desert of mediocrity, and a testament to the transformative power of storytelling.

Watch it , you won't regret it!!!!

    An Underrated Modern Love Story

I think this story deviated from the typical c-drama themes of unnecessary conflict. And I loved that!

The story was very real and very honest. The characters were flawed but likable and easy to connect with. The chemistry was great!

I can particularly relate these characters because I know what's its like to be consumed with work that you have no personal life. And for things at work to be going badly regardless. And I appreciate the lessons that they tried to shine light on. That consistent effort eventually pays off but overworking yourself can be dangerous.

I'm surprised it took me this long to find out about this show and after watching it I am very satisfied.

Excellent short modern down to earth romance drama

I was attracted to the low number of episodes being 14. There's little chance of. Dragging a series when it's a short series and I can't handle long conflicting anguishing romantic dramas. I was amazed from the first episode at how realistic it was as most of us would have encountered characters like those in the series in real life at our workplace or may even have observed exhibits of such behavior in big cities. This series tells of working people in their twenties to forties and how they deal with work competition, romance and families. Our FL & ML are quite endearing and mature. From teasing, flirtations, suspicions of each other to friends and to lovers, we see them mature and change. There's quite a few clever conversations and it's a pure joy to see how their feelings deepen. Highly recommended watch.
