I have been loving this series since episode one. It's changes from the books (that I love) have made this story so much more dynamic and interesting.
I have been waiting for this episode's storyline for years and they did not disappoint! The vampire coven is here and they are magnificent! I am so impressed with Ben Daniel's Santiago, hypnotic and sexy. The costumes, makeup and production design overall is so beautiful.
Jacob Anderson as always is a phenomenal actor and is breaking my heart in every episode. Delainey Hayles' Claudia is perfection and so charming. I cannot wait to see more of this amazing re-telling and all of its unique variations.
Please give us more! Fans are so anxious to see a third season and the Vampire Lestat storyline!

We have another good episode!
Louis and Claudia are navigating through Paris when they stumble upon a coven of vampires who use the theatre to lure in vampire lovers to trick them into thinking what they are seeing is fake, but it is all very real. The memories of Lestat is not just a burden, it is now proving to be a danger !
I was thinking I wouldn't like this section of the series as much but so far I am, the coven mentality is good, the setting is again very good and I like the introduction to the new characters.
The play was fine, nothing amazing, the interview is also decent, the lovey dovey of it eh, kind of getting a bit much, other than that no complaints. 8/10.

This episode turns the screws tighter, deepening the emotional ache while teasing dangerous new dynamics. It is intimate, moody, and bursting with things left unsaid.
Plot: 8/10 The story leans into seduction and suspicion. Louis and Armand's present-day interview feels like a chess match, while their past slowly cracks open. Not a lot of plot, but rich with meaning.
Acting: 9/10 Jacob Anderson gives a layered, aching performance. Assad Zaman remains a mystery you want to solve. The new cast continues to impress, adding complexity without distraction.
Writing: 8/10 Elegant and heavy. The conversations are full of double meanings and buried truths. Some lines feel like knives wrapped in velvet.
Visuals and Direction: 8.5/10 It looks stunning. Shadow and candlelight do most of the talking. The atmosphere is thick with longing.
Pacing: 7.5/10 Slow but deliberate. It is more about what's simmering beneath than what's happening on the surface. You feel like something is about to break.
Overall: 8/10 Not a flashy episode, but a smart, moody, emotionally charged one. It lingers in your head like a half-remembered dream - or a warning.

I was excited for the show, but let down in season 1. It's been so very long, I can't remember if the shiw left no memory in my mind or I just stopped watching...
...because I don't remember where we left off. The main vampires boyfriend-overprotective attendant in s annoying and doesn't seem to add much but trite resistance in the script to create a valid level of drama.
The show ver all is way better than season one that hinges in modern social media requirements which often detracts instead of adding to the plot or characters.
The anything boutdain interviewer baffles me. Is he telling it asking the story?
Overall, the show still has potential, but lacks from the movie. Never read the books...so I don't know how in point this show is. Just seems like a name grab for instant audience.
Stories start to be interesting but get lost in telling modern world politics in a world hundreds of years before. And often just feels like it's a boring travelog.

It is rare to see all things click into place, but this episode is a perfect example when excellent writing, acting, music, et al come together. It's far better than nearly anything I've seen for a long time. And the "Everything you're about to see is real..." speech so chilling I had to watch it twice in a row. Still unsettled as I write this. Toxic, reflective, grotesque, awe-inspiring. Okay, I've kinda said all I want, just want people to watch the episode, because I liked it very much and the Santiago guy nearly made me soil myself. Also, dysfunctional relationships, yeah they nailed it. And done.

- TriviaOne character has a name which is a double entendre, Merde'em could be short for "Mur - der - Them" (Murder Them) or Merde could refer a vulgar term in French which means excrement. Also Basilic and Planche, is French for Basil and Plank ( or Floor in general, as in a person of low status) respectively.
- Crazy creditsThe opening credits for the second season premiere is a slight variation of the first season, this time with Paris on the top, facing downwards , and Dubai on the bottom.
