What an enchanting series. The acting is profound, the new Claudia character in this second series played by actress Delaney Hayles is excellent. Claudia's story is sad and horrific. The writing, costumes, soundtrack, production design and leading performances all deserve credit. I am so enjoying it all and hope this series gets picked up for a third season. I've seen the movie Interview With The Vampire plenty of times, but when each episode ends I'll watch it again too catch up with the little nuances I may have not picked up from this television series. Lestat, Louis, Claudia and Armand have me captivated.
This episode is a swirling mess of obsession, memory, and manipulation. It's one of the most emotionally intense entries so far and it makes you question every relationship on screen.
Plot: 8/10 The narrative jumps between timelines with purpose. We learn more about Louis and Armand's twisted past and how their choices ripple into the present.
Acting: 9/10 Jacob Anderson continues to deliver a masterclass in quiet pain. Assad Zaman is equally captivating, and the tension between them is undeniable.
Writing: 8/10 Every line feels deliberate, loaded with emotional weight. The episode captures how love can become control and how control can be mistaken for love.
Visuals and Direction: 8.5/10 The episode is visually rich and haunting. Whether in New Orleans or Paris, the aesthetic is dripping with mood and melancholy.
Pacing: 7.5/10 A bit slow at times, but it earns it with the emotional payoff. It lingers on scenes that deserve the extra breath.
Overall: 8/10 Dark, painful, and beautifully acted. This episode takes the romance and cranks up the tragedy. You will feel it in your chest.

We get another solid episode this week.
We see Claudia struggling big time with her new role in the play. She starts acting out in the form of an attitude of no caring. Louis and Armand seem to be hitting some snags as the coven fuel a disdain to Louis and Armands rule. Meanwhile present day Daniel is sifting through the new files, Louis and Armand are expanding their stories as some crossed wires become aligned.
The pacing is a little slower this week, it feels like something big is on the horizon. I do really enjoy the events of the episode and this feeling of sheer power that is just under the surface, a scene with Louis and Santiago shows how strong Lestats blood is.
Another good episode, I do hope for a bit of a speedier episode next week, 8/10.
