Watched this at a film festival and WOW! Usually short movies don't get me in the feels because they're just so short but this one really got me feeling. I really enjoyed this 10min movie to a point that I wished it was a 90min movie or a show about a mariachi boy. The actors were stellar; the young boy, the restaurant owner even the musicians felt so authentic and well cast and omg the look, colors and outfits of this was spot on! Felt so professional. Spectacular short movie. I hope to watch these actors in big Hollywood films, especially the boy actor. I think he said it was his first big project. Would love to watch it again and good luck to the entire team!
Canta Santiago is a little gem of a film that really hits home. It pulls you right into the heart of Santiago, where music and tradition are the beating pulse of the community. The way the film blends vibrant scenes with soulful music is spectacular! Makes it feel like you're part of the story.
The characters are so genuine-you can feel their passion and pride in every moment. It's like you're sitting with friends, witnessing something special. What I loved most is how the film leaves you with a warm feeling, reminding you how important it is to stay connected to your roots.
In just a short time, Canta Santiago manages to be both uplifting and deeply touching.
This film also reminds why it's so important to support new filmmakers and actors from diverse backgrounds. I'm officially a fan and really hope they all make it big! Rooting for you all!
