Right, well initially I must admit that I thought that there might actually be something to this 2023 movie "The Exorcists" as it had Brad Dougley on the cast list. But then as the movie started, those two dreaded words appeared on the screen; The Asylum...
But still, I opted to watch the movie, as it was a horror movie that I hadn't already seen. And I guess that this was a mockbuster off of the 2023 movie "The Exorcist: Believer", as it is a movie from The Asylum. I haven't yet watched "The Exorcist: Believer" yet, though.
The storyline in "The Exorcists" was rather bland and generic. It was a textbook exorcism movie, but without being overly interesting, scary or particularly worth the 85 minutes that the movie ran for. I must say that I was not particularly entertained throughout the course of the sluggish narrative.
The acting performances in "The Exorcists" was adequate. Though you're not in for anything extraordinary, mind you. Of the entire cast, then I was only familiar with Doug Bradley.
Visually then "The Exorcists" wasn't bringing anything grand to the screen either. It was not a movie that made a use of a whole lot of special effects. I guess the budget simply wasn't available for that.
If you enjoy exorcism movies, then you might find something enjoyable here, if you look hard enough. However, as a casual viewer and a horror fan, I will say that writer and director Jose Prendes delivered a monotonous and forgettable movie.
My rating of "The Exorcists" lands on a three out of ten stars.

The movie gave me a false hopes in the beginning I thought that i will see decent movie but the story was bad doesn't make sense so many plot holes a lot pf problems that I would have to write an essay about how bad is it no excuse to bad art if there's a zero I would give it to the movie let me tell you something I have no problem giving the new or amateur screenwriters a chance I understand what they go through but i have seen movies with less production hell I have seen youtube movies better than this one I don't recommend this nothing in the movie can save it everything was bad I hope all the best for the crew in the future but this one was awful I hope they learn from it.
Like it was written by high schooler after watching the 'Exorcist'. Acting is low grade, sometimes due to terrible dialogue. Even the music isn't always proper for the scene! Don't buy or rent or waste your time. You will regret giving an hour and a half of your time! Disappointing for sure. If you like the genre, stick to the original 'Exorcist' and or the prequel. Also try the TV show 'Evil'!
Low production value, extremely poor acting, and lots of plot holes. However, if you embrace the awfulness of the movie, you can find humor in it. I laughed my ass off. It was so bad I ran to the reviews on here to see what was being said. I had never laughed so hard.
Shoutout to the guy in the reviews who wanted to walk out but didn't wanna waste the $1.50 he spent on his movie ticket and he wanted to finish his popcorn first. Lmao. Legend.
Also to the people like me who just needed to make an account to write this.
Overall, I do think it is worth watching this movie if you have some time to kill. I was pulled in at the beginning, curious to see what was going to happen next. I laughed and I had a great time.

How disappointing. You know how a movie can be so bad its funny? This wasn't that. In fact I wish it had been. At least then it would be entertaining. Even though I read the reviews and saw the ratings I still rented it. Come on it's thanksgiving and all stuff out right now is a yawn fest but who knew you could take such a great title and make it so bad. The writing was atrocious, the casting just as bad and bland. I mean I like the idea of it but boy was that bland, white meat no seasoning bland. It would be boring boring and under normal circumstances but I would have just watched something different and complained here later, I had nothing better to do than watch that bland movie and I yawned over a dozen times. Sad.
