After filming in the Rouge River, the cast had to go extended lengths of using natural and chemical materials to make sure they didn't catch any diseases from sewage.
The director, ToM Zarzecki moved from Chicago Illinois to Ypsilanti Michigan, to Redford Michigan, then to Los Angeles during production, in just under one year. He funded the film, mostly out of pocket from working odd jobs that ranged from thrift stores, installing appliances, cleaning gutters, pizzerias and film crew gigs.
The first Director of Photography, Paul Chartnetzki, drove from Chicago Illinois to Ypsilanti Michigan to begin filming the second shoot day, then in the morning quit on the third day.
The director nearly had a mental breakdown, until an hour a camera operator who was one day late to a crew meeting showed up and was moved to being the new DP and shooting went as scheduled.
Camera operator, Erin Gannon, was nearly run over by an oblivious driver while shooting the drag race scene.
