Initially, a different lead actor was hired and confirmed for the role of Harrison. But due to backlash of that actor's past production issues and unethical practices (brought to light by this film's producer David Bragg), he had to be replaced mere weeks before production commenced. Although recasting the male lead actor was very stressful for writer, director and co-producer, Mark Anthony Ramitt, in hindsight it proved to benefit the film's scripted dramatic and emotional, empathetic story line.

Alternate versions
A 12 minute edited version (excluding end credits) has been completed for the purpose of submitting to and qualifying for a broadcast license fee as required for a Canadian broadcaster. This truncated version tightens up the pacing of earlier scenes, and omits entirely the final resolution / concluding scene revealing that the Harrison character is experiencing a physical health issue of his own - on his own.
