This is the second movie of Jimmy Shergill,Manoj Bajpayee and Divya Dutta.These 3 actors have earlier featured in Special 26.
'Traffic' was supposed to go on the floors in 2011 with Sunny Deol, Rajat Barmecha and Minissha Lamba. Later, there was buzz that Ajay Devgn had been approached. It has also been remade in Tamil and Kannada.
Director Rajesh Pillai and actor Jishnu of this movie passed away in 2016 within a month's gap, before the release of the movie.
