Ylvis mot Ylvis: Kampen om gullplaten

Vegard and Bård Ylvisåker have always proven that they are true masters of improvisation but the concept of this show takes things even a step further. It´s a really brave concept that leaves room for imperfection. Something that is rare in nowadays TV-shows. That´s what makes the show so exciting. The challenges on stage are improvised and due to that, you never know what to expect and it relies on the guests how fun things get. The only downside is, that not every performance is super entertaining. But that´s part of the deal and the prefilmed segments make up for it. The stage design is really cool and unique too! My favorite parts of the show are the outfit reveals at the beginning and the impro songs at the end of each episode. The only thing that feels a bit outdated are the physical punishment challenges. That´s just not my cup of tea.

I´m glad that there will be a second season in 2025!

These two brothers are two extremely talented musicians who have always been known for being able to create entire songs up on the spur of the moment. Just toss anything at them. They have known each other so long that harmonies just appear out of nowhere and it seems rehearsed even though it's not. It's a little strange to have them compete against each other doing this as working with people you don't know as well is a lot tougher, but they make it work. Their partners so far this season have seemed up to the task and I love their outrageous costumes. I look forward to many more episodes of this series!
