Sisters Jun and Ran, despite tensions over Ran's marriage to Jun's ex, are forced to live together after their mother's passing, setting the stage for an exploration of complex family dynamics.

Jun Togo (Chiaki Kuriyama) is a sincere woman with high morals, but can lose her temper when fired up. She works in a psychosomatic department. She has a younger half-sister Ran Mishima (Fumika Baba). They share the same mother, but have different fathers. The sisters haven't seen each for 10 years, since Ran Mishima took away Jun Togo's boyfriend Ritsu Mishima (Shuntaro Yanagi) and eventually married him.
