Gonzaguinha: Lindo Lago do Amor (Versão II)

Second music video for the same song "Lindo Lago do Amor" by Gonzaguinha and the idea/concept used seems like those promotional videos destined for a campaign to some cause as many similar themed had been done then, before and later on. Here, the late artist perform the song along with a group of kids and one teen couple, all dressed in white and seated on a circle. There are some other moments outside of such idea such as a shadowy figure playing the harmonic during the solo bit, and a woman who introduces the vinyl in the introduction and at the ending.

The song makes it a special view but there isn't much going on happening here. One of the most memorable bits comes from a wide-eyed boy, with his green eyes dominating the screen in a close-up. The camera lingers on him as he sings the song, fascinating yet spooky for some reason, almost like seeing Damien from "The Omen", attracts and scares all at once. Whatever the case, the record company thought they had to make a promotional video - not sure which came first if their version or the TV one made by Fantástico. Same song, different concepts but they both work on their own because Gonzaguinha's performance and lyrics are of pure brilliance. 7/10.
