Deep in a remote forest, two friends, Mia and Riley, embark on a leisurely hike. As tensions run high between the two, a strange humming noise appears that seems to be coming from somewhere in the woods. And when Riley's dog Shadow darts into the forest, the two reluctantly follow. The girls come across a lone metal staircase, and despite Riley's concerns, Mia approaches. At first, it's innocent fun, but quickly this encounter takes a horrifying turn. The staircase takes complete hold of Mia, possessing her almost instantly. Riley takes quick action and pulls Mia to the ground, releasing her from the chokehold of the stairs. Stunned and terrified, the girls gather their wits.
