Vanished is the new film from Dreams Come True Productions, and it is a superb effort from this film group. Vanished tells the powerful and gripping tale of an abduction. It is based on the book of the same title written by Candy J Beard.
Carla and Chris Bennett had the perfect life until the day their seven year old daughter, Kimberly, was abducted in broad daylight, without a trace! All attempts to find her come up empty, leaving the community baffled. Who took young Kimberly and why? Days turn into weeks and weeks into months. Tensions begin to arise between the once happy couple as Chris blames Carla for Kimberly's abduction.
Soon, an old classmate of Carla's will make himself a permanent fixture in her life. Suspense ensues as the viewer wonders is he there to help her pick up the pieces of her shattered life, or does he have plans of his own?
And will Kimberly ever make it home again?
Vanished holds your attention and have a nice pace. It is also nice to see the talented Richard Bryant (from Lifetime's Army Wives) playing the lead. Hopefully we will see more of him in the future.
Thanks to Dreams Come True for a powerful family film that makes us all think and be fortunate for those in our lives.

This movie was very suspenseful and scary that this happens more often than people think. Well written and directed, the adult actors did a great job also, I could feel their compassion and emotions. No matter how much we wish child abduction wouldn't happen, unfortunately it does. It is every parents, grandparents, families, worst nightmare. The young actors in this movie were quite impressive also, it is amazing how well they portrayed their roles in this movie. I wish that this would never happen to anyone ever! All and all a very suspenseful, heart wrenching, well written and directed movie, a must see!
I was only able to view the trailer but from what I saw it is a heartfelt story that I wanted to learn more about. It is a clever way as it looks like the film was shot documentary style to give more of a feeling of realism and relate-ability to the family who's life was certainly centered around their abducted daughter and when the possibility of not having her around set in, the empty nest syndrome drives the couple apart. I love how resourceful the production was with a low budget and how they made the film work.
I can not wait to see the full feature when it is released publicly. Even though the actors are not well known they have done a great job in the trailer.

It's a parents worse fear. Very emotional and will have you definitely watching out for your children and grandkids. Must see
This is a good heartfelt movie. The topics and theme covered are all events that happen in reality. This touches on the dangers of complacently. This shows you in real time how quickly life can change in the blink of an eye when you turn your attention away for a brief second or let your guard down. This movie will hold the viewers attention from beginning to end but some concepts are a bit long thats the reason for the 9 of 10. I believe this movie has a book that is also written by the producer that is a good read as well. The movie in my opinion is safe for children above 7/8 because it is tastefully written and executed so that a child can understand the dangers of interacting with strangers.

- TriviaKatelynn Atterson-Barnhart (at age nine) was cast in the role of the kidnapped victim, Kimberly. She had never acted before, but did an amazing job and was able to keep up with her adult co-stars.
