Dashing Through the Snow

This was one of those rare indie films that punches above its weight. Super inventive action choreography on all the action. They even got Michael Jai White to do some of the fights. Pretty cool comedic timing and stunts. That stuff is often repetitive in genre films like this. So I was impressed. His wife Gillian White is also the lead and nails it as the pregnant fugitive. Both leads were super funny in fact.

The director definitely knew what he was doing, which seemed similar to his last films too in terms of cinematography and editing style based on trailers I saw. Resourceful filmmaking at its best.

Such a fun surprise. It's got heart, humor and more holiday mayhem than most big studio films. I laughed sooo much more than I expected and really loved the main characters. The story moves fast and the film never drags with the cool action scenes and pop up characters. This is going to be a go to Christmas rewatch for sure.
