Needless to say that I hadn't even heard about this 2024 movie titled "Crack: Back in Da Hood". But given the movie's title, I have to say that I harbored zero expectations to the movie. But I still opted to watch it on account of it being a movie that I hadn't already seen.
From the movie's cover, I thought this was going to be a movie made by Maverick Entertainment. But thankfully, it wasn't so.
Writer Nino Cimino, whom also directed the movie and starred in the movie, didn't exactly put together an overly entertaining script or storyline. It was pretty straightforward, for sure, but also ridiculous at the same time.
The dialogue in the movie was atrocious. Seriously, is there any people that actually speak like that?
The one thing that worked in favor of the movie was the fact that I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress. Not that it really mattered much, because the acting performances were not particularly great.
Movies that are written by, directed by and starring the one and same person usually tends to be questionable affairs, and "Crack: Back in Da Hood" was no different.
My rating of "Crack: Back in Da Hood" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.
