I was pretty impressed with this film. It's not your typical horror. The cast was great. They all reminded me of something you'd see on television in a continuing series.
The location was a really cool look in that old mansion as well.
Lou Lombardi killed this roll... He plays a great nut job! I'm not sure what the budget was, but I'm assuming it was pretty low and this has a look and feel of any high budget flick! Didn't love all the music and would have loved to see more back story on the band, but ya, this one surprised me and maybe just set the bar a bit higher for horror. Who said you can't have a real story along with all the gore?

I was pleasantly surprised by this film! Saw it at the Bushwick Film Festival with some pals. Main dude was great too! Haven't seen him in anything before, but I thought it was a solid performance. He's also superrr hot so win win. Overall very entertaining to watch and I enjoyed it at the festival!
I also thought the actress who played Babs was so sick. Babs as a character was also pretty interesting and I kinda wish they explored her more and gave her a more well-rounded back story, but just gunna keep my fingers crossed that they expand on that if any sequels come along.
Favorite character gotta be Juan though. That mf made me laugh so hard, literally the perfect casting for that character too.

Super fortunate to have gotten to catch this at a Film Festival!!! Super fun movie, lotta dread, lotta heart, lotta laughs (even tho my girlfriend had to look away at some parts lol) Acting was strong across the board. Definitely going back to see it with my friends when it hits theaters.
(Maybe Spoilers:) The film follows a punk rock band and each of the four make up a great dynamic that is thrusted into a pretty dark situation when Mister Director comes into play. I LOVED Mister Director. He manages to walk on such a tightrope between threatening and dread-inducing but at the same time funny and awkward.
Overall, big thumbs up.

"Director's Cut" is a dark, trippy horror ride that pulls you in from the first scene. The cinematography is gorgeous - moody, eerie, and feels super high-budget, making every frame look like a piece of art. The music and band element is such a cool touch, and I honestly wish we got even more of Babs; she totally steals every scene she's in. The ensemble cast overall is fantastic, bringing so much tension and energy that you can't help but stay hooked. Sure, the plot can feel a bit predictable, but the visuals and atmosphere keep you glued anyway. If you're into horror that's all about vibe, style, and strong performances instead of cheap jump scares, this one is a must. It's the kind of film that sticks with you after the credits roll - stylish, haunting, and just really fun to watch.
Saw some horror accounts I follow on insta mention this movie and decided to check it out at the Bushwick film festival. I dig horror but not so much gore/slashers, but was down for this since its based around a rock band. Ended up really enjoying this movie. Big bonus is you don't immediately hate the characters and want them to die. Appreciate that they give you people to root for.
Some of the cast did a Q&A with the director of the movie after the screening, was clear this was many of their "big break" moments, especially for the director making his debut with this movie. Everyone clearly gave it their all and its worth calling that out.
All in all I'd say give this one a chance. Its good to see more small budget movies get a chance out there with major Hollywood lacking rn. Hope we get a follow-up to this one soon!
