I gave it a rating of 7 but it's only because of Michael Cudlitz. He is giving an incredible take on an unhinged and unhindered Lex Luthor. This Lex is still cold and calculating, but he is pissed as well and he's letting the world know. This Lex is terrifying and dangerous and it's fantastic. Michael is single handedly carrying this season, so far, everyone else is simply phoning it in.
The way Lois, Jon, and Jordan are behaving aren't how human beings react to or grieve the loss of a loved one. If you were to randomly speak to Lana and ask if she had just lost the person she claims to have been her best friend, she legitimately would cock her head to the side, smile, and ask "what?".
There are scenes that will have a conversation between two characters, then in the very next scene, have the same two characters have the exact same conversation word for word.
The production is seriously lacking. Apparently Smallville only has a population of a couple dozen people. The emotion and heart went the way of Superman's in this episode.
Again, the only reason I gave such a high rating is because of Michael Cudlitz, he's actually bringing his S game to this role and he's honestly the only reason to keep watching. Everyone else is there just to collect a pay check and they're showing that they'd rather be doing anything else.

I was beyond excited that the show was coming back and getting a final season. I thought the first episode started off well. It look good visually but not as good as the very first episode of the series but still good. The second episode started off very cringe with Lana telling all the towns people gathering to see Superman and her telling everybody stop give Lois a chance with her friend and everybody just walks away. It was so bad. Also, I felt the dialogue between Jordan, Jonathan and Lois was very bad some of the worst acting I've seen on the show yet. Hopefully they clean it up and it gets better.
So its getting cancelled and they've given up got it, i mean at least go out with a bang!
Its painful to watch the story here lex as a hillbilly as well. Where did the mean guy go? Your watching it just asking what? Why? Oh gawd why do that. This is not enjoyable. Where are the rest of the great characters to.
And more is needed
Method STEP 1 Heat ½ tbsp oil over a gentle heat in a flameproof casserole dish. Add the onion and cook for 5 mins until softening. Scatter over the thyme and garlic, and stir for 1 min. Turn up the heat and add the chicken, frying until golden but not fully cooked. Add the mushrooms and the remaining oil. Heat oven to 200C/180 fan/gas 6.
STEP 2 Add the stock, crème fraîche, mustard and kale, and season well. Add the cornflour mixture and stir until thickened a little.
STEP 3 Remove from the heat and cover with the puff pastry lid, pressing into the sides of the casserole dish. Slice a cross in the centre and glaze with the egg. Bake for 30 mins until the pastry is puffed up and golden.
