This is what immersive games are about
If you're into totally immersive games with characters you end up caring about this is a great game.
It's got a great twist on some old themes in video games. It was only about £15 when I got it on the PS4 recently well worth the money.

Why the hate?
This game is great. I thought it was well structured and I never thought it was short. Hope there is a sequel. Combats great, shooting mechanics are good and so is the story and graphics. I'm not complaining and hope there's another.
Ammmmmazing
This is one of the best games I ever played and I have been gaming since atari times. What not to like, the amazing soundtrack, game play, graphics, the sacrifice of Melory wehre you need to follow his steps to find the truth, or the beautiful twist of the storyline where actually working for the villains and don't know. People just want to criticize everything! I wish the make a second part of this game. The ending show there is a possibility for a second part. But thanks for your critics they won't!
Happy birthday Order 1886
The Order 1886 is one of the few games on the PS4 I actually enjoyed. Despite all the hate it got, I loved it and here is why.
Sir Galahad lived for decades and joined the Order. An elite force of anti magic knights with Guns. They go around looking for leads to kill werewolves, evil politicians, and poor people.
The Order is your typical over the shoulder third person shooter. It has fluid powerful controls with good shooting and weapons. You get a myriad of weapons. A melee knife and a pistol, sometimes you get the Tesla Gun and yes there is Nicholai Tesla in this game. Zap crowds and it all feels so fluid and good. Players can go slow-mo on baddies and use hit markers. There are times where you can explore and look at items. Besides that it's utterly and completely linear. When monsters get up close and personal there will always be melee attacks with swords or chock holds, but not too much. It's a short 5 hour game. Mild Puzzle solving is thrown in here like when trying to hack a blimp's security system. You may get injured and not regenerate but one swig of the flask can help Sir Galahad come back to life. There is absolutely nothing to this video game because it suffers from a series of disorders.
Interactive movie syndrome
Gears of War ripoff syndrome
2007 Syndrome
Graphics and story over gameplay Syndrome
No Jumping syndrome
Sony game syndrome
CoD campaign syndrome
Uncanny Valley
The Pee filter
A mild case of the Naughty Dog formula.
You can tell this game was in a transitional period in the industry when we stopped caring about brown and grey shooters and leaned into colorful open world games and it shows. There are no multiplayer to speak of or bonuses.
The graphics though are revolutionary. This happens to be the first every video game with a full cast of 100,000 polygon characters. (Before it was just Ayane in Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors edge WiiU) This is nerd speak for all the characters look just like real life. It runs at 30FPS in letter box, but after this every other AAA game or AA game. Now every video game character belongs in a movie with their wrinkles, perfectly smooth looking arms, perfectly smooth looking hair, hands, heads legs, clothing, ect. (Though they don't always look like this like in act 8's weird low poly capes) This game looks just like a real movie. All the characters are well animated. Tons of lighting effects and special effects. The atmosphere is very morose. Everything in this game is dark and so English. Everything reeks of the plague and just dark. It's just so dark and atmospheric.
Even if the environments are a bit rudimentary the Order doesn't miss.
Overall, The order 1886 entertains (but leaves on a cliff hanger)

Victorian beauty
This game is underrated just because it's short in comparision of the anticipation it had, can't ignore the revolutionary graphics, in addition to the story including a great protaginist and characters, guns and shooting mechanics, creatures and moments, the sequel would've been something big but won't happen duo to unexplained hate.
