Kingdom Hearts III (2019)

FAQ

Kingdom Hearts III

No, Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed in June 2018 that Kingdom Hearts III will not be getting a Final Mix version. This is due to the fact that the latest gaming systems have the ability of online connectivity to provide updates from either patches to fix errors or DLC. The later release of the Re Mind DLC in January 2020 would add similar material to that of the Final Mix versions such as new cutscenes and new boss battles.

The previous Final Mix versions for Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep were all about making improvements to make them the more definite versions of their original counterparts (much like with the coming DLC for KHIII), though they were originally Japanese-only releases prior to the PS3 HD Collections.

It was verified on July 18, 2017 that the number of Disney worlds in the game will not be as large as Kingdom Hearts II, however the overall storyline length for each of them will be much longer than before.

The only currently "confirmed worlds" is Corona (Tangled) and a world based off the film Big Hero 6. However, from the trailer released at E3, we can also see that they will in fact include some form of the Olympus Coliseum (which the ending of the later release -A Fragmentary Passage- confirms Sora is heading there), as well as the return of Twilight Town.

On July 15, 2017, it was confirmed through D3 2017 that a world based off Toy Story is also included in the game.

No. She is replaced by Alison Stoner. It has not been made clear why Hayden didn't return.

At D3 2017 it was announced that this game is currently set for 2018, though the exact date has not been revealed yet.

It was later confirmed at E3 2018 that the game would be pushed back to 2019, and would be released on January 25 for Japan and January 29 for the rest of the world.
