In 1966, Michael Polakovs was hired by the McDonald's Corporation to create Ronald McDonald and also appeared in the first eight television commercials featuring the new character.
Lou Jacobs was the first living person to have his portrait appear on an American postage stamp in 1966.
In 1970, after only working for one year as a performing clown for Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Leon McBryde was promoted to travel one week ahead of the show to do promotional appearances as the Ringling Goodwill Ambassador.
Chuck Sidlow was honored with the title, "The youngest boss clown in the history of the circus" by Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus President Irvin Feld and spent eight years touring with the show.
Jackie Le Claire was the stunt double for Cornel Wilde in the first trick he does in The Greatest Show on Earth (1952) and also appears in the final scene of the film as a clown.
