    You've been watching....

The few of us that have seen next weeks episode seem conflicted. No. This is not not a "filler episode" This is appropriate back story leading into the last few episodes. Be patient. This show has been far beyond what we were expecting. I am very satisfied with pace and play so far of the overall goal. This episode tones down the anxiety leaving the last ep. And gives substance to what we've been watching. It slowly builds off of the conscience of his waiting and waiting from last episode. The mind, the discipline, the tear, it's all coming together. Let's bring it all to a close without being short...Cheers.

Waited week to watch prequel story!

This was just a origin story and went backwards in terms of plot.

In the story, it was like he suddenly realised his wife blew his cover and then had to sort it out.

Filling plot holes as series was falling apart, with so many issues.

Where is this going it has to end soon and yet the main aim of series is not building up to any plot any time soon. It looks like he is about to return home to kill his wifes family to cover tracks, only issue his child. Why this series is more about him being fugitive than assassin is the one big issue.

He escaped and cover was blown and they have no more leads.

This series has more substance in Adverts than plot and is leading nowhere.

Intense, strong, epic piece of art

What did I just watch, My jaw literally dropped, This show keeps shocking me with every episode, I mean wow please keep em coming, would wished it was longer than just ten but let's enjoy it will it last, I can only say that I haven't been entertained this much since a long time, I've seen a lot of ppl spoting faults of he show but I don't give it much attention cuz I've seen so many shows with almost zero mistakes but still not that entertaining which is why I'd rather choose one at this caliber over hundreds of others, Great show, great Episode, may this high level of epicness continues for the rest of the remaining Episodes and why not the second season.

    Filler Episode

Season 1, Episode 8 of The Day of The Jackal hits a disappointing lull, delivering a filler episode that stalls the narrative rather than propelling it forward. For a show with a reputation for tension and momentum, this episode feels like a detour that the audience didn't sign up for.

From start to finish, the story line barely inches forward. The episode spends an excessive amount of time on character interactions and side plots that lack relevance to the main narrative. While these moments might aim to provide depth or context, they come across as padding rather than meaningful storytelling.

    On yer bike

I don't know where the writers disappeared to for episodes 6 and 7 but good to see them back in action here.

The back story helps us understand whom and what makes him as a person and there is a powerful build up to the closing scene.

The story regarding Bianca and her family does seem unnecessary as we don't know anything apart her partner in crime busting but pressurising thd powers that be shows thd politics involved in trying to get a job done for the greater good.

I am pleased that this episode has turned things around as the hype surrounding theed show was starting to look unfounded but normal high standard service is returned here.
