Royal decorum, even in modern India, is stringent. The old tenet of duties and honor, before emotions and love, still subsist. In order to conserve their prominence, the royals seek the wealthy for alliance, if they have exhausted their own kind. CHANDRA is a tale of a princess caught between the so called royal traditions and her simple uncomplicated heart. Through mature and gripping performances, the essence of love and values linger alongside melodious music, picturesque cinematography, witty comedy, and smooth rendition. The film sends the much needed message - love is above all, and it is only your heart that makes you a royal and not your wealth.

Bad story. Mediocre direction. Terrible film. No entertainment. Boring as F. The worst thing I have ever seen in Tamil in a while. What a load of B.

Chandra

Costume designer of this movie who was also the director of the movie deserves an applause. She greatly designed the costumes for shriya saran. And shriya saran was literally glowing throughout the movie. And hero Harichandra&#39;s physique was impressive. With Shriya&#39;s heavenly structure and harichandra&#39;s monster six packs they looked god like pair. Their romance part was filled with great chemistry and intimacy. And the songs Mouna Moundadalli, Diranana Diranana were choreographed top notch. They tried traditional kanasutra positions for the movements, which worked out very well. Climax was heart touching. Totally it was a ROYAL LOVE STORY.

The story and the direction is really good to watch. Shriya mam as a princess role had done her role perfectly which deserves an award. The music and songs are good.
