Death by a Thousand Hits - Part 1

A man who's just arrived from Myanmar is found dead on a beach, his wife anxiously waits for his call, it never comes. The Lyell looks like benefiting from more funding, but must first meet the approval of The Home Office's Elinor Shaw.

I'm always reassured when I see the name Ed Whitaker in the opening credits, the most dependable writer on the show. This is a very, very well written episode.

A really intriguing start, very different to the recent run if episodes, but it works, one of those plots that would have beautifully suited Waking the Dead.

I'd love to know who she's texting.

Great to see both Julie Graham and Sean Pertwee, I'm a huge fan of both, how much is Sean now looking like his dad.

I hope the viewers have stuck with this series, it's been very rewarding.

Please, please, please replace Gabriel, Cara, and Velvy with other characters. These three are killing the show by slowing it down to a snail's pace. Gabriel has zero personality. Velvet is as weak as they come. Cara has potential but the writers basically use her as a show piece, I guess communicating to the audience: Look! We're being socially sensitive using a deaf girl in our show. Really miss Leo and precious characters. This show no longer has life. I started having hope in the previous episodes about the murderous students but nothing before or since then with these characters. Please replace them or shut down SW.
