If you're looking for something to pass the time, this show might be it. Be aware that there's a lot of violence and a lot of unanswered questions at the end. Could have l been so much better because the starting point (the accident and how it destroys those families lives) is increadible material to work with. The non sensical violence and the fact that not everything ties up at the end ended up being a real disappointment for me. I'm not sure I would recommend this show unless you like violence in tv shows. Also, is this really how Mexico works? Things are solved by the "law of the people". Hope not.
There is no way this series is less than a 6 in rate.
1. The Plot is great, although it has a lot of things of Mexican novelas, I think that making a series about a simple mistake that could've been avoided is interesting.
2. Everything that happens because of unawareness and how families react is worth watching.
3. The series display deep family issues, toxic patterns, cowardice, ambition, negligence and injustice.
4. This series is not racist, do not believe in the reviews that are saying this. It's way the opposite.
5. Awesome actors
What I did not like: 1. The overreaction of some characters 2. That it was a series instead of a movie: because it had to be overwritten to make it interesting. I don't know how it will go with a second season.

Whoever says this show is any good, must have a personal interest in it. There is nothing, and let me be crystal clear, N-O-T-H-I-N-G believable than can be rescued out of this series. Shame on Netflix for trying to sell this POS as a drama series, when it's nothing more than a Mexican Telenovela with underperforming actors, characters out of a comic book, that quickly becomes a comedy. Think of a cliche? This series has it. It's so predictable that even if you only had one functional brain cell you could predict what will happen after the first episode.
The writer (Padron) has done nothing else in his career other than writing mediocre telenovelas, why would you expect any different? Don't waste your time and most importantly don't waste your money. You can watch garbage like this every day for free on Televisa, Telemundo or Univisión. No subscription necessary.

... having its own Spanish-soap dumb-charm, with quite a few stupid happenings... like putting a brick in a ziplock-bag weighing-down a couple items thrown into a river, when items on their own would be impossible floating
... everyone-characters overacting more than not can wear viewers down... just watch without overthinking and it becomes less-annoying more-watchable... every actor filling their parts pretty well... one stands out that without him this production would not have succeeded much at all... Alberto Guerra as the hated villain Charro... he alone is worth viewing-time, making most of each-every evil-minute onscreen
... ending as-if there's another season coming... bet many of those giving poor ratings will be watching again, it's that guilty-pleasure-allure.

With tinges of overacting, I still recommend watching the ACCIDENT. Everyone is flawed as everyone is affected. There are villains a plenty, with great acting by the main villain Charro. I particularly enjoyed the constant interplay of different storylines by the main couples. Yes, you could have omitted the three sex scenes, added nothing. But that's just me.
I found the dialogue believable and well written. Many modern themes are delineated with nuance: materialism, avarice, infidelity, drug use, parental abuse and neglect, classicism. The city of Santa Cruz and the surrounding area make a beautiful backdrop to all the action.

Not a lot more that I can say about this other than it is probably the dumbest show that I've seen in a long time. Even though that about covers it I being required to write at least six hundred characters so that it can be published on the Internet Movie Database. So let's see what I can do with this. Everything, and I literally mean everything, is blown so far out of proportion that it's ridiculous. A tragic yet simple accident is referred to over and over again as murder and while negligence did play a role in this, it was so not murder. Also the constant need to kill the person that didn't hammer in the stake is somehow drug across 10 episodes.
Compelling at the start. However, poorly dubbed. As one with knowledge of the criminal justice system the plot indeed turned an accident into a murder. As the story progressed every female character becomes someone you can truly despise . Every one of them ! I lasted the entire series because of the desire to see what would happen with this disaster of a storyline. It wasn't pretty . The hatred spewed among people who had zero sense of the criminal culpability is astonishing. Children die as a result of a bouncy house not being properly secured. The wind blows it away ( very unlikely ), and the plot turns on who is responsible. That inaction is deemed to be murder. Nowhere in the US ( this is in Mexico ) that I know of would this be murder - and yes, it was negligent and a very unlikely "accident." The main mean character tries to kill the children of the man he thought to be responsible by burning them in their home - and although he is clearly responsible and witnesses are present he's never charged!!!! Ok, I watched it. Maybe because it was SO bad. But I can not in good conscience recommend it. There's so much better to watch and do.
I'm not a fan of Netflix Latinoamérica productions because they always end up disappointing me, and this was no exception. I'm Colombian and since this show happens to have in its cast, 2 Colombian actors that I used to love as a teenager, I decided to check it and I regret every minute of it. Even though my expectations couldn't have possibly been lower, this show still found a way to make me feel disappointed and embarrassed about the quality of Latinamerican shows. This was bad in ways i didn't know it could be bad.
What started as and what I thought was gonna be an adult drama, gets so stretched and confusing and convoluted that it very quickly turns into a poorly made telenovela, but also a bad action series and also a basic teenage drama with teenage characters and teenager music. This was the definition of "everything, everywhere (and everyone) all at once". It was everyone against everyone, going from 0 to 100 every other minute, for no absolutely no reason. There's too many storylines that get intertwined but in the most forced and unrealistic ways possible. Nothing felt natural, nothing felt believable. It felt like every episode was written by a big group of complete strangers who were brainstorming, and then each episode got directed by an entirely different group of other strangers who kept brainstorming some more. The acting is bad, the writing is atrocious, the music is absolutely awful and the editing is diabolical.
Many lines delivered by various characters in what were supposed to be tense moments, ended up genuinely making me crack up in laughter or making me cringe so bad that I literally covered my face. The use of music was excessive in every scene, there were very few seconds of silence in each episode and the genre and song choices always felt wrong, awkward and cringey. But the editing, that was definitely the worst part of this experience. It felt like it was edited by 20 different people who never actually met, discussed or communicated with each other at all. Entire scenes and potential dramatic moments got cut very abruptly and followed by scenes that completely killed the vibe or they would use a lot of "gossip girl" kinda music on scenes that were supposed to be serious and tense.
This could and should have been maximum 6 episodes long, but for reasons beyond my comprehension, it's 10. There were 3 performances though, that stood out in a positive way for me, specially the 2 protagonists and another female character from the supporting cast. They were not consistently amazing, but they did deliver several dramatic moments that felt genuine and believable . But aside from that, everything else was absolutely horrible. I do not recommend it and if anyone is reading this, please trust me, do not waste hours of your life watching this catastrophe.

There are some really good moments, but I just can't shake off the "Televisa presenta" impression. There's always a criminal, a unscrupulous lawyer, a few poor people, and a few too good to be true characters. In this kind of series, there shouldn't be such a strong divide between good and evil, because this isn't a comedy dealing with light subjects. If you're tackling a serious topic, do it professionally. Given that it wasn't done professionally, this will remain just another soap opera that isn't close to being a drama. As long as mistresses, drug lords, corrupt policemen, and exaggerated scenes persist, Latin series will never be taken seriously.

So I don't know why the ratings are so bad and low. I read someone's comment that said 2/3 sex scenes in every episode . Erm helloooo did we watch the same series? Because I don't remember this series being about sex at all.
The genre is drama and that's exactly what they gave.
A lot of drama and fast paced.
There was something new happening every time. It's not like those series where over 30 mins can be absolutely unnecessary.
It was good. Drama and drama is all I can say.
Characters acted their parts well. Great story.
I will say the over reactions to what the character who caused the accident was a bit over dramatic.

I agree with many other reviewers that this show is a prime example of the pitfalls often found in Latin TV. The characters are poorly developed, and the acting is lackluster, resulting in a plot that drags on without any real excitement or originality.
The main storyline is quite ridiculous, and it's disheartening to see the main characters predominantly portrayed as white while the antagonists are brown-skinned, perpetuating problematic racial stereotypes.
The ending of the first episode is particularly disappointing, with a flat and clichéd villain that is all too familiar in telenovela formats. Overall, this show fails to offer anything compelling and is best avoided.

This is without a doubt the worst production I have ever seen. It's embarrassing that this was accepted on Netflix. Mediocre in every aspect, terrible story, bad acted, unrealistic, lowest quality. I don't know if it was lack of budget or just terrible producers but if you have not seen, please save yourself a bad experience. The situations are so absurd that one loses interest directly. Dialogs are just as bad as the rest of the production. They tried to introduce drama in such a cheap way that is not believable not even for children. The worst part is that this is being presented in Europe and North America, leaving the worst impression of latin america's cinematography. If it was possible to submit the review with 0 starts, this would deserve below zero.

I thought the plot was intriguing, layers of drama involving greed, grief, love and betrayal, frienfship, frenemies, tragedy, and forgiveness. Some characters were more complex than others. I thought Charro's wife was weak, but she surprised me. There was never a dull moment, It kept me engaged until the end. Give it a chance, it just may surprise you. And, there were a few episodes that felt soap opera-ish, due to the many layers of drama, but that is what kept me coming back for more. I wanted to see how they handled each emotionally charged situations. I was curious to see how the characters would process the tragedy. Fantastic plot. I Loved it!
Dive into "Accidente," where Netflix has apparently discovered a parallel Mexico, one where the biggest crime wave involves teens toking up, and the police response is straight out of a comic book. Here, in this bizarro world, law enforcement treats marijuana use with the kind of severity usually reserved for international espionage.
Now, from where I'm sitting in the real Mexico, this portrayal is as accurate as saying tacos are a traditional dish from Iceland. In our world, where impunity reigns supreme at 98%, and you're more likely to stumble upon a narco fiesta than a police crackdown on some casual reefer madness, "Accidente" feels like it's not just on another planet, but perhaps in another galaxy.
The series attempts to weave a tale of consequence and morality, but ends up spinning a yarn so far-fetched, you'd think the script was written during a particularly imaginative high. Enter "El Charro," the only character who seems to have gotten the memo that he's in a show meant to entertain, not educate on Mexican law enforcement practices. He's the life of this party, galloping through the absurdity with the charm of a man who knows he's in a satire.
"Accidente" might give you a chuckle if you're looking for a 'what if' scenario where Mexican police are both omnipresent and overly concerned with minor infractions, in a land where the biggest worry is who's got the next joint. For those of us acquainted with the actual lay of the land, this show serves as a fantastical, almost comedic, departure from reality.
So, if you fancy a trip to an alternate Mexico where the grass is greener, and the law is... well, let's just say 'overly enthusiastic,' give "Accidente" a whirl. Just remember, for a taste of genuine Mexican life, maybe stick to street tacos and leave the policing to the... well, not to this show's version of the police.

There's no redemption for almost any character. It just displays human misery in ways that are too much and gratuitous. Unwarranted sex scenes about two or three every episode. Everyone having sex with everyone. 100% of characters with lack of any moral compass. It eventually turns into a narco-novela with the same cliche narco character who is a macho and does what he wants and speaks a certain way. It's just gotten old at this point. Not to mention the plot is the same old twists and turns mashup of shows like "Who killed Sara," "Pact of Silence," "Dark Desire," "Yankee," "Ingobernable", etc, but this one is by a long mile the worst.

Hello all, I am DISGUSTED at the amount of negative reviews for this FANTASTIC Netflix series! I was hooked from the first episode and watched all in a day! I get all the dubbing over, I am from England, UK but you very quickly get used to it, and actually you can't really tell there is dubbing once you get into the show! I thought the show was gripping, tense and ABSOLUTELY fantastic, I was in tears by the end....!
I can accept we all have different opinions, but I was so excited to read the reviews after i finished, expecting everyone else to love the show like I did, LOL... I could not stop myself reviewing this following the amount of 1/10 just so there is some fairness with the ratings!!
Enjoy the series
Jonno.

I watched it in Spanish, my mother tongue, which I always enjoy, but the massive, intrusive high proportion of foul language- just every few words- turned me off and ruined it. The soap opera over-emotional burden is daunting. 90% of the series becomes predictable, though the 10% remaining do present some twists to justify a mild thriller or at least a mystery. Characters are cardboard for the most part. I couldn't find one single outstanding actor either. Except the kids, who once gone, very early, are sorely missed. The story is interesting, even original, and the sadness real and communicative. But a huge editing job was needed, in many respects. Pity, it had great potential.
