- A video which reproduces in thirty takes a conversation in accordance with the cinematographic resource of the shot-reverse-shot. The peculiarity of it is that each shot is taken alternately in two different cities and recorded 24 hours after the previous one. The artist is always in the middle of the shot, attending the conversation, for which he must physically travel between these two cities each day, Santiago de Compostela and Barcelona, which are approximately 900 kilometers apart, and are linked by train, a journey of about 13 hours. Although, in principle, the conversation is like any other two actors might have on the same set, the takes filmed a few minutes apart or even in real-time, the character of this work is exceptional in that the subject matter of the conversation revolves around the special conditions of filming it, the technical difficulties in carrying it out, and the different aspects of reality it affects: the perception of time, the contemporary concept of space, the friction of distance, cinematographic conventions, communication technologies, the repetition or singularity of life situations, etc. This makes the viewer constantly aware of the unreality of the conversation.—Manuel Saiz
