As a reasonably new Sherlock Holmes super fan I started with Robert Downey and then the old 1947 radio only show with Basil Rathbone and Bruce Nigel to the BBC's version and all in between. As far as modern day versions(and alot of the time period offerings )this is EASILY the best modern adaptation by far. I think because it's a audio medium the professional effort and actors put more in or its just written and acted so well it is effortlessly funny, exciting, action packed and pulls you in very very quickly. If you see the voice actors (one who is an actor already , perhaps 2 of them, not sure) They could easily pull off a t.v series that I think would take off as quickly and positively as the podcast did. If you haven't listened for whatever do yourself a favour and be prepared to have your socks blown off considering it's a podcast. It deserves to be on the screen.
I love this podcast so much!! I enjoy the voice acting and the flow of the characters it's just all so great!! I'm not usually a podcast person but this really feels immersive in a way I can't describe!
It's also an interesting take on Sherlock Holmes, not only for the podcast format, but the characters and cases are very interesting and are very believable! The witty banter from Watson and Sherlock just makes the podcast light up!
Sherlock Holmes being canonically autistic for this podcast is a delight! As an autistic person myself it's nice to get something genuine in some form!
Overall this adaptation is great, give it a shot!

Cannot recommend Sherlock and Co enough. I am a big fan of the BBC Sherlock adaptation and I was very curious when I stumbled upon this. I came into listening to it with very low expectations but I was proven so very wrong. This is my preferred way to spend my time, listening to this podcast. It mixes comedy and drama. Each story better than the last (which it doesn't feel possible). I truly love this podcast. The take on Sherlock is very close to my heart. John is exactly how he should be in a modern world. The voice acting is perfect. The sign of four is the newest episodes and it is definitely taking a more serious approach, bjt still with humour. The way they introduce fan favourite characters (or just characters from Sherlock) is brilliant! I cannot recommend this masterpiece enough.
I've never been one for podcasts but this one's got me hooked! The hyper realism is such an amazing concept and so very well executed! It really does feel like your coming with John and Sherlock on their quests and cases!
In addition to the amazing plots it's oh so very funny! The characters just have such a natural flow which makes them just so much more funny! (All due to the amazing writing, directing and voice acting ofc!) There's been so many times where I've been laughing out loud at Johns little mistakes or Sherlock's miss-understandings!
It's a very different sort of Sherlock adaptation, but definitely one of my all time favorites!

I'm a big fan of Sherlock Holmes, but I only started to listen to this at the start of 2025. When I started to listen to this, I instantly loved it. The only thing I dislike about this podcast is that they abuse Jesus' name too much. If the actors read this, please refrain from using such blasphemies. My favourite adventure is The Sign of Four, The Three Students, and The Disappearance of Lady Frances Carfax. When I first started to listen to this podcast, I didn't expect to hear so much swearing, but I honestly enjoy it, and the action and hilarious jokes and humour make it so much better to listen to. Honestly the best podcast I've ever listened to. 11/10 if I could.
