Speaking as someone who baulked at the BBC modernisation of Sherlock Holmes stories, feeling the setting was integral to the magic of the stories, I've never been so delighted to be proven wrong.
Sherlock and Co, is podcast work at its very finest, bringing the adventures of the world's greatest detective seamlessly into the modern era and while simultaneously perfectly capturing the para-social magic of podcasting.
Reviewing after greatly enjoying 30+ episodes, each new adventure is lovingly and imaginatively written for the modern day, wonderfully acted to deliver genuine drama and consistent comedic beats. John Watson shines as the central character and narrator throughout the series more so than perhaps even in the original texts. The podcast meta narrative, including shoutouts and timely asides and references, play wonderfully against the main adventures, giving the show a sense of great depth and character likely not deliverable in any other format.
The highest praise I could offer is that, you could genuinely forgive someone for thinking the lead characters were real people - Each episode continues to be a delight!

I love this podcast so much!! I enjoy the voice acting and the flow of the characters it's just all so great!! I'm not usually a podcast person but this really feels immersive in a way I can't describe!
It's also an interesting take on Sherlock Holmes, not only for the podcast format, but the characters and cases are very interesting and are very believable! The witty banter from Watson and Sherlock just makes the podcast light up!
Sherlock Holmes being canonically autistic for this podcast is a delight! As an autistic person myself it's nice to get something genuine in some form!
Overall this adaptation is great, give it a shot!

I'm a big fan of Sherlock Holmes, but I only started to listen to this at the start of 2025. When I started to listen to this, I instantly loved it. The only thing I dislike about this podcast is that they abuse Jesus' name too much. If the actors read this, please refrain from using such blasphemies. My favourite adventure is The Sign of Four, The Three Students, and The Disappearance of Lady Frances Carfax. When I first started to listen to this podcast, I didn't expect to hear so much swearing, but I honestly enjoy it, and the action and hilarious jokes and humour make it so much better to listen to. Honestly the best podcast I've ever listened to. 11/10 if I could.
Hi from South Africa! I love, love, love this show. It has a great mix of serious and funny content! Watson, Mariana, and Sherlock are so realistic. Big ups to the voice actors! I hope to hear more from them in the future. I cannot wait to see where Goalhanger takes the traditional Sherlock Holmes stories.
I have been to London once and feel like I am transported back there by the excellent world-building in this show! I have already given the show 5 stars on Apple Podcasts, but since I can't support the Patreon just yet, I thought I would give it a 10 here too!
I have listened to it all the way through about 2/3 times... First listen was more focused, but now I just like having Sherlock, Watson and Mariana around while I am working. Brilliant stuff! Please keep going!

Cannot recommend Sherlock and Co enough. I am a big fan of the BBC Sherlock adaptation and I was very curious when I stumbled upon this. I came into listening to it with very low expectations but I was proven so very wrong. This is my preferred way to spend my time, listening to this podcast. It mixes comedy and drama. Each story better than the last (which it doesn't feel possible). I truly love this podcast. The take on Sherlock is very close to my heart. John is exactly how he should be in a modern world. The voice acting is perfect. The sign of four is the newest episodes and it is definitely taking a more serious approach, bjt still with humour. The way they introduce fan favourite characters (or just characters from Sherlock) is brilliant! I cannot recommend this masterpiece enough.
