Reality TV lovers may enjoy watching swift choreography on Dancing With the Stars, but things aren’t always peachy behind the scenes. DWTS comes with its own level of drama beyond stage performances. Julianne Hough has been a cohost on DWTS since Season 32 of the show. Before landing the coveted gig, she actually took home the DWTS trophy at the end of Season 4 back in 2007. Most recently, it looks like Julianne offended another ex-contestant named Eric Roberts. These are the details of their drama.
Julian Hough And Eric Roberts Aren’t Getting Along
Julianne spoke with Eric after his elimination from DWTS. Since he didn’t have much say in response to any of her questions, she compared him to none other than Anna Delvey. As a reminder, after Anna was eliminated from the show, she made the claim that she took “nothing” away from the competition whatsoever. From Anna‘s perspective,...

Marvel’s “Deadpool & Wolverine” (Disney) grossed $97 million on its second weekend, representing a 54 percent drop. That’s in line with other blockbuster openings and an impressive achievement. Disney now has all four of the top weekend totals this year, including the first two weekends of “Inside Out 2.” (The Pixar smash fell only 34 percent its second weekend).
That gets the third “Deadpool” (and the eighth Hugh Jackman “Wolverine”) movie to $395 million domestic and $824 million worldwide by its second weekend, the best of 2024. Whether it bests “Inside Out 2” (currently $627 million) for #1 for the year remains uncertain. “Inside Out 2” is closing in on “Barbie,” which ended up at $636 million last year, but that’s a trivia point; much more important is what these films brought to the struggling 2024 box office.
Unadjusted, “Deadpool 2” has outgrossed any previous R-rated release. However, higher ticket prices distorts this alleged record; it’s...

Apparently, “superhero fatigue” was just wishful thinking on the part of exhausted film critics looking for someplace to direct their boredom. Despite getting a commendable C+ rating from The A.V. Club, Deadpool & Wolverine has continued its streak of box office returns experts have deemed “boffo.” Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman...

Far from home yet never alone, three men found purpose amid peril. Their astounding true tale kindled a cinematic triumph sure to touch hearts worldwide.
The Firing Squad recounts the harrowing but hopeful experiences of Christians branded enemies in a distant land. Once dark days seemed to hold only despair, but light emerged through faith fierce as fire. From shadows, these souls stepped into sunlight, showing that even when all looks lost, hope stays alive if belief burns bright.
Visionary director Timothy Chey saw in their story a message too profound to keep private. Training in theology and law gifted him insight to interpret life’s depths, which he shares through dramatic art. For this film, he assembled an ensemble as excellent as any, including Kevin Sorbo, Cuba Gooding Jr., and James Barrington, their brilliance breathing soul into characters beyond compare.
With compassion yet courage, Chey leads viewers on a...

After two fantastic months at the summer box office, things are looking to slow down for August, although we have a few more weeks before the official “Dog Days of Summer.” Read on for Gold Derby’s box office preview.
Before we get to the new movies out this weekend, we need to address Marvel’s “Deadpool and Wolverine” and how it might fare in its second weekend after setting all sorts of R-rated records last weekend. With $38.5 million of its $211 opening weekend coming from Thursday previews, we have to expect a decent-sized drop, but barring a 64%+ drop, which is doubtful, it should be able to bring in over $75 million in its second weekend.
Filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan is back with his 16th movie, the high-concept thriller “Trap,” starring Josh Hartnett as a father who brings his daughter Riley (Ariel Donoghue) to a concert by pop star Lady Raven (Saleka Shyamalan...

The Painter is another tale of a former covert operative forced to pick up his weapons and get back in the game. Can director Kimani Ray Smith and writer Brian Buccellato find a way to give the year a fresh start with the usual assortment of high-stakes espionage mixed with personal and professional betrayals?
Peter was one of the CIA’s top agents until he was sent to kill the same person his wife Elena’s team was sent to bring back alive. She lost the child she was carrying, and their marriage fell apart soon after.
It also destroyed his trust in the agency and in his adoptive father Henry Byrne. He adopted Peter after his parents, who were also agents, were killed in a...
