I went to the opening night screening and was totally blown away with this movie. Jerrod Farthing's story was well written and produced. This movie had the entire audience in stitches the entire time. It was incredible to see the entire threatre laughing together. It had a perfect balance of humor/horror.
Very surprising to see a lot of first time actors and local actors come together. This movie was shot locally as well.
I would recommend this movie to anyone. There is a little bit of swearing in this movie and a little bit of gore. I would say it would be PG 13 film. All in all, great film. The Huronia Players threatre was a perfect threatre for the screening.
Great Job Guys.

An independent tense horror that turned out to be one of the funniest film I've seen in years, in the best possible way. Presence of side characters whom radiate and steal scenes paired with practical effects that bring the creatures and world to life. Despite some jarring editing at times and a missed opportunity for a good final blow of a scare to viewers; the film was such a fun watch with an audience which was filled with laughs and suspense of whatever might happen next. The heart and passion behind the film from the cast, crew and director is very much present in the film.
Looking forward to whatever Jerrod does next!

Super fun opening night for The Wildman Massacre. Who knew the local legends were true? Jerrod Farthing's storytelling is an ode to campy horror films where the audience is moved to cheer and laugh, as much as scream and gasp. Several scenes and performances were very strong and the videography was stunning (especially the drone views of the treetops and the incredible shots of the moon). I agree with a previous review that editing could be a little tighter. Certain characters were clear audience favourites, potentially encouraging a prequel. Suggest shortening duration of the credits and adding the bloopers to the end. Looking forward to seeing more.
This indie film is a testament to how creativity and passion can shine, even with limited resources. Despite its modest production scale, it delivers a gripping and heartfelt story brought to life by a cast of mostly first-time actors. Their natural performances add a layer of authenticity that pulls you into the film, making it easy to connect with the characters and their journey.
What sets this movie apart is its ability to balance tension and humor. While the central story keeps you on edge, the comedic moments from the quirky side characters offer a refreshing contrast. Their unpredictable banter and antics lighten the mood at just the right moments, giving the film a unique blend of suspense and levity that feels fresh and engaging.
Visually, the movie makes excellent use of its natural settings, with beautifully shot scenes that emphasize the isolation and mystery of the wilderness. The subtle visual effects are used sparingly but effectively, adding to the sense of danger and intrigue without overshadowing the grounded, character-driven story.
With its sharp pacing, clever direction, and understated score, this film finds a compelling balance between suspense, humor, and heart. It's an indie gem that proves great storytelling, memorable characters, and a little ingenuity can create a truly impactful cinematic experience.

I just saw this movie on its opening night and I was both impressed and surprised by this feature.
Not only was the flick frightening and funny; it also came across as a professional piece of cinema.
This is even more extraordinary when you learn that the film stars a bunch of first time actors and it is the writer/directors first major feature.
For such a small budget the film also looks quite beautiful.
The crowd was also greatly invested in the movie, for they were cheering, laughing, and screaming at the events that unfolded on these oddball characters.
It is not perfect though, for there were a few sound issues and the pacing could be tightened up a little.
Regardless, I was thoroughly entertained and can not recommend this feature enough.
The director can only improve from here and I look forward to seeing what they come up with next!
