What Happens After Midnight

No pun intended - things can happen ... of course it mostly happens when it is night .. much more scarier I reckon. Also conveniently falls into the shift of our main character. Who seems to have a few weird encounters ... one in particular is more than weird ... doesn't work for many reasons - not just what is said, but the acting of it.

It is supposed to be weird and that it achieves at least. And while this is a short movie, it still feels like it could have been shorter ... for the ending it chooses - well it is not a surprising one and I think the point is clear quite early on ... still if you like horror short movies ... give it a go - it's on Youtube at the moment.

A young hotel clerk, in night shift, with few other jobs, for obvious motives , suffering by sleep deprivation.

A client losting her key and papers.

An empty room who seams occupied. A strange guy on hotel rooms.

The result - more than well crafted short horror, for crumbs of Shining, off course, for acting, not last, for atmosphere, first.

The basic virtue - return of viewer to the ghost stories of childhood, spirits haunzing in their death place and a kind young man looking for help the clients and to understand, with not so surprising consequence, strange facts around him.

In short, just surprising good short film.
