The budget for the post production of the film had to be funded by a Kickstarter campaign in order cover the cost of the sound mixing, color correction, editing, special effects, mastering, and other methods needed to finish the film.
The video game that the Angry Video Game Nerd is playing is full of Troma Easter eggs: -The copyright at the bottom of the screen is held by SLK Productions, which stands for Stanley Lloyd Kaufman (Lloyd Kaufman's full name). -The background is a silhouette of the skyline from Troma's opening animation. -The final score is 1974, which is the year that Troma Entertainment, INC. was founded. -The villains that the Toxic Avenger sprite fights are characters from the first Toxic Avenger movie, such as the man with the shotgun in the restaurant scene, as well as one of the thugs in the alley known as "Cigar Face".
