The Middleman's Love

We know what a BL is and we know the Mandee style but this series irritated me because of the histrionically exaggerated nature of the main character and the cei ge he sometimes gave and the lack of connection that priduces for him to be a BL.

It is true that the level of histrionics and overacting of the main character oba discovering swfun advanced the series and probably as a response to the level of reception of the chapters but it is an approach that I think did not work although in the end they try to let you vwr because the exaggeration main character plays like that or acts like that and they give you an intimate relationship scene everything ends up giving some cringe and you don't quite understand the because of his partner's falling in love (obvious puppy issue that is painfully resolved). The last chapters at least show the lantrama of the suffocating office, all of which are sponsored by the producer herself. But it is not saved and even the secondary characters like the Bed Friends ear, I think, are mega-affected in their series aura due to the poorness of their interventions. And of course no one is going to ship this main couple. Ugh I wouldn't see her again.

"You're ordinary, but special to me."

Jade is an extremely kind, gentle-minded, yet irritatingly dense man with seemingly endless enthusiasm and poditive energy.

Mai is the kind of good-looking guy all clichés are ready to tell you, you are too ordinary for him to love you.

So far, it is easy to get why Jade doubts Mai's feelings.

It is an hurtful, superficial thought though, as Mai makes appropriately clear. I really feel with him when Jade tells him, I does not like Mai like that instead of voicing his true concerns.

However, Mai falls for Jade hard and acts on it in ways Jade truly appreciates, but does not realize Mai's motive.

I have to say, I adore and admire Mai's resistence and persistence in his pursuit. He seems to have endless energy to overlook all of Jade's (mostly cute) density, after all that has to be tiring to a certain degree.

First of all, I wanna ask, "What the heck happened to Jade?!" I don't remember him being so loud and obnoxious in Bed Friend. He used to be a cute and funny sidekick of Uea. But in this spin off series, he's always shouting and yelling, even when there's nothing going on. Most of the time it made me cringed. I mean, it's already a letdown when they announced that the actors were changed because of some problems. And now, they made the main character so annoying. What were they thinking?! If it weren't for the side couple, I wouldn't have watched this series. If they gave the side couple more screen time, they can easily outshine the main couple. Bottom line : Bed Friend is good, The Middleman's Love is cringey.
