Duoi Bong Binh Yen revolves around the story of Quan, a 24-year-old young man leaving his hometown to pursue a career of fashion design in Ho Chi Minh city. His family in Phan Thiet is very poor, his father passed away when Quan was at a very young age. His mother has been in poor health for years while having to raise the 2 younger siblings. Quan likes art and carries the big dream of becoming a successful fashion designer in the near future. Bac Bay, an old friend of his father is an owner of a reputable clothing manufacturer in Ho Chi Minh. Bac Bay sees that Quan has the potential and lets Quan join the company to learn on the job. However, when Quan just arrived in Ho Chi Minh, he got into a fight with a motorbike driver. After that, he lost all of his belongings, money, mobile phone and was badly hurt. No one wanted to help him since the they thought he may be a fraud. Finally, a group of homeless people carried him to the hospital, lent him money to pay the hospital bills and took care of him for a while. Even though they are just strangers, these kind-hearted people soon become his second family in Ho Chi Minh city. Quan decides to work for Bac Bay and stays at the homeless town at the same time. From then on, he understands them more and helps them overcome many hardships in life. Especially, he also stays with them to fight against the fake homeless people scamming around their town.
