After a life-threatening police operation in Wolfratshausen, Hubert and Girwidz try to change their minds on a mountain tour together. In Ödweil the two set off for the southernmost point of Germany. At boundary stone 147 the time out is finally over. Hubert and Girwidz come across two bodies, one on the German side and the other on the Austrian side. The attempt to roll the dead man across the state border on the German side fails in an embarrassing way: the two are caught red-handed by Susanne Gabler and Franziska Haas of the Austrian Alpine police. Both pairs of investigators decide to take care of "their" body first. But district chief Sabine Kaiser and the Austrian police chief, David Pichler, order that the two duos must cooperate in the investigation of the case. The collaboration doesn't seem to be going well.
