    Propaganda Garbage

Nothing but Propaganda Garbage. Made by non-director, but Husband to the Socialist Democrat Danish Prime Minister, picturing another Socialist Democrat Prime Minister Anker Jørgensen. Anker who actually were a Blue Color working Man, but is made to look weak, to Promote the reigning Danish Prime Minister. A Socialist Democrat and Academic, and never a Blue Color Worker. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen is instead Wife to the Director, no Bias, They both said, but You really have to be out there to believe Such BS! As a fun fact it is primarily paid by Taxpayers money. It is all pure Riefenstahl! But alas, You will not see Riefenstahls great artistic talents, just a Mediocre Cinematographer, who believes he has the Knowledge and Talent to Direct! Avoid it.

    Weird mashup of genres

Whatever this is, it all becomes quite confusing because of all the genres that are mixed together. Is it a historical drama? A documentary? A docu-drama? And when is it fiction and when is it fact? And if it is fact why is the main character doing the narration? All this mixed with original footage makes it all rather confusing.

Although it is great to get an insight of the period of Anker Jørgensen's time as prime minister of Denmark, the docudramafiction is also hampered by the poor dressing up of the characters. Anker's hair looks rather silly and other actors are clearly wearing wigs. On top of that, the acting is sometime over the top, most notably Ole Lemmeke portraying Erhardt Jakobsen.

You get a feeling that this was a missed chance to make a good drama about one of the most interesting times in Danish politics, but instead it all comes across as if the director wanted to show off how many genres you could actually cram into 90 minutes of television.

    Propaganda

A shame danish tax money has paid for this fairy tale. I'm sure there must be episodes missing, as they completely neglect to mention what anker was known for.

    Running Denmark into bankruptcy.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the current prime minister of Denmark. Her husband is the director of this mini series.

A prime minister that rules the media with an iron fist, so this is just another scheme of hers.

But hey 3 stars for the acting. I enjoyed the main actor. And glistrup is also pretty well represented.

I do however like that they showed that the unions have been owning the social party for years.

One sided tribute to late PM anker Jørgensen

Taxpayer sponsored drama documentary about one of the important figures of danish politics in the 1970's, Anker Jørgensen.

If you are looking for a Borgen style political drama, please move on, as this 3 episode show primarely will entertain die-hard danish social democrats with its one-sided almost propoganda for a prime minister who came very close to running Danish economy into a state of bankruptsy.

Even though the cast is fairly decent, the script is weak and the mix between dramatization and real footage is confusing and weird.

Most of the major political oponents are portrayed as morons, while Anker Jørgensen is portrayed as a PM who made the most from a difficult period of time, even though its widely recognised among historians, that his administrations economic policies just worsened the situation.

Its basicly a social democratic fairy tale, not that alligned with history.

it was a good depiction, but remember, it is from Ankers own POV

People calling this propaganda have a hard time distancing themselves from their own opinions and beliefs. It depicts the situation FROM ANKERS PERSPECTIVE! He is the literal narrator of the series, so of course you're gonna get his views and opinions, that they have dug out from a lot of sources from his personal life, and the people around him.

Also, it is mentioned to Anker several times that the state is running a deficit, and we see him do nothing about it. How can this be so called "glorified view" of Anker, when his lack of resolve and competence is shown so clearly?

Also I did not find it confusing, the way it was edited to include original film in between. As a Dane who knows the characters, it was pretty straight forward...

To sum up I thought it was a decent narrative and as a mini drama series, based on true events, I find it pretty well made, and it encapsulates the years from the perspective of Anker himself. I believe it shows a man who wants to do good, but lacked the competence to actually do so.
