Trivia

Retribution on Whitechapel

Edit
For the filming of the conference scene, director Eric Hackler and the cast only referred to each other by character name.
Zach Scott is the only returning actor from the original short. Mike Mattia was offered to reprise Capt. Chapman, but couldn't make it due to scheduling conflicts.
The script has many references to the infamous Jack The Ripper case. Each main character are named after Ripper victims Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes, and Mary Jane Kelly. All the cases that Viscariot interfered with are all references to people involved in the Ripper case. Abberline's namesake is the lead detective in the Ripper case. He calls every authority figure "boss," which plays off the "Dear Boss" letters. Conversations overheard in the restaurant scene all have Ripper references. The film opens with a man taking a picture of five girls, representing the five Ripper victims.

Director Cameo

Eric Hackler: Abberline. The Abberline in the original short was Eric's younger brother Stephen. Eric played Viscariot in the original.
