Goofs

Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 for Murder

Edit

Continuity

Ethan opens the top pizza box, takes a slice in his right hand and closes the lid of the box. The phone rings. Ethan pushes the ignore button with his right hand (no pizza) and in the next shot, he's holding the pizza in his right hand again. And now the pizza box lid is open.

Factual errors

At 16:45 when the store owner enters, the street address number can be seen above the door as 115, but when the call comes in over the app to report the robbery, the dispatcher says to go to 1710 Fig St.
When asked why the soon-to-be ex wife & the dead jewelry store owner were divorcing: "Reconcilable differences"
Contents of dart initially identified as Sodium Chloride (table salt)

Errors in geography

The detectives from the Detroit, Michigan PD search records for other jewelry store thefts with the same modus operandi as the one resulting in the death of jeweler Joseph Trimani; they include a possible connection to a robbery in Cleveland, Ohio implying that Cleveland is within the Detroit metro area. Cleveland is actually 170 highway miles and about a 3-hour drive from Detroit at the opposite end of northern Ohio. The nearest large Ohio city to the Detroit metro area is Toledo, 60 miles away.
