- Ann Fitzpatrick and her accomplice Charlotte Berry Attack Ann's British Ex-Husband in Tenerife. After they succeed in blowing up his troops they quickly escape to a remote area of Newfoundland, Great Seal Island, where Ann misplaces their ship. Stuck on a deserted island, they make the best of their time there foraging until they discover a Ghost Ship drifting offshore. Frightened of Banshees, spirits and ghosts, Ann refuses to help Charlotte figure out a way to the ship to collect provisions. Charlotte finds a stash of gold doubloon and hides them on her person. Ann quickly notices and demands half. Charlotte refuses to share and Ann stomps off along the coastline only to discovery their lost dinghy. Ann delivers the news to Charlotte and continues to demand her share of half the gold coins. Ann will not tell the whereabouts until she is paid and Charlotte gives over half under pressure. On their way to the dinghy they stumble upon the remnants of a massacre, likely the crew from the ghost ship. Ann refuses to help Charlotte and plants herself on land. Charlotte leaves and the spirits swirl about Ann. Ann's second sight reveals that her ex-husband, James Fitzpatrick is on their trail. Charlotte returns with sails, wood, sextant, maps and other provisions. The bounty allows for romance to blossom. After a game of 'Shut the Box' Charlotte loses her gold to Ann. Yet Ann feels compelled to let Charlotte take charge of her treasure. Charlotte gifts Ann with a linen dress found on the ship. The gown of a proper lady. Meanwhile James' Fitzpatrick and what is left of his troops make landfall on the island. Charlotte reveals a plan to sail to New Orleans to seal immense amounts of treasure. The rub is that Ann must board the ghost ship to do it. As Charlotte hones her skills as a hunter and trapper, Ann is aware that their time together is limited. While out foraging Ann witnesses James' encampment with his soldiers. Torn between her devotion to Charlotte and their safety and the opportunity to leave the island Ann decides she will turn herself over to James. Everyone wins as James will collect a bounty, Ann will be rescued from a deserted island and hopefully escape prison to fetch Charlotte when she 'procures' another ship. Upset Charlotte asks if Ann is still in love with James. As Ann tracks the movement of James' camp and men she is captured and taken on a picnic by James. He woos her and yet she cannot escape.
