The original script contained a second storyline narrating one of the crazies killed in the final scene, but it had to be cut due to time constraints during principal photography. This second plot was codenamed "Example A" amongst the cast & crew.
Over a quarter of the exteriors in the film were actually shot in Spring.
Several times throughout the film, lead actor Cole Weber can be seen looking down and rubbing his forehead. This was in order to cover up the fact that the black sclera contact lens used in the film was lost 3/4's of the way through production.
