    Really weird

I feel like Darabont only kept this in because it was famous from the book. But I'm not sure. Maybe he liked it. Maybe it wasn't famous from the book. But regardless there was a lot I didn't love from the episode.

Guy Ferland was directing, and he's very all over the place for me. He directs some great episodes of TV, and is able to direct some great shows in general. But he also has a lot of bad/bland episodes.

This is a disappointing episode. But the next one should be better.

    • Trivia
In addition to John Buntin's book, "L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America's Most Seductive City" as the primary source, writer David J. Schow cited additional material from "Red Ink, White Lies: The Rise and Fall of Los Angeles Newspapers, 1920-1962" by Rob Leicester Wagner and "Mickey Cohen: The Life and Crimes of L.A.'s Notorious Mobster" by Tere Tereba.
    • Goofs
They show the hit men shooting revolvers with silencers. Because of the space between the cylinder and the barrel a silencer will not work on a revolver and must be used on a solid barrel, such as that on a rifle or semi-automatic pistol.
